Cam is in, headers are on, intake is changed. Whoa. I think I got that 200 horse I was lacking. Let us see what she does tomorrow. Should have been done sooner. Got busy, hurt myself Saturday on my Kawi. No excuses though. If I don't see 11's, time to rethink what I am doing with the 71.

Alass it looks like it could be Feb 2011. I have finished up the rear suspension work. I need a driveshaft ( working on that now), exhaust system and I need to plumb the fuel system. I'll get it back on the street and make sure everything is good to go then get it to the track and get things sorted out there. I've just been so busy with work but am taking 2 weeks at Christmas (much needed vacation) and hope to get a lot done then. I'll keep ya'll posted. Thanks for asking!

We are too. Supposed to be in the 50s. Hunny Bunny is going tomorrow but not racing. She is waiting for better "air"

lol.....yeah Buttercup had me contact Firebird to make sure they were going to prep the track for PINKS TnT.... crazy....it was supposed to be in the low 70's this weekend but now they're saying mid 80's....there is no good air in Cali

Better hurry. My Super Victor showed up, so a little more work and I'll be back in business. Track opens back up in 6 months... and I need something to shoot for.

We got till thanksgiving around here, after that is idios till late February and most likely based on the Snow coming then the last few years, it'll be March.

Justin, just so we are clear, you are running 11.70s right? Not sure it will cut those numbers but it has to run better than 12.40s. After talking to the guy who built the Merlins I was way under cammed. Stock they are 269. Now they are 335. .608 was just a big mismatch. The Monte def sounds like a Pro ET car now. Lets just hope it does not fall on its face again. I got to do an oil change this morning and I broke down and bought some 3.5 inch Race Magnums. I like noise but with the new headers it is just obnoxious. And I am dropping in a new set of Mosers. And C Clip eliminators. Justin case, if you know what I mean.

What are the specs of the new cam?

Advertised duration 316/324

 

Ground 5 degrees advanced.

 

Sounds pretty good.
