kc8oye Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 crazey dave.. yep.. you get to 383 by going .030 over. (and bumping the stroke from 3.48" to 3.75") Quote
waupachino Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Only time I had a plug fouling like that it was a bad Cylinder Bore. The Bore was worn and Oil was getting by the Rings. Pulled the Engine, Bored .030 over and was back in Business. Quote

amsterdam84 Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Could you not just get it bored out an additional .010"? Can you do that? might clean up any problems with oversized cylinders. Unless it is a ring problem. But if you get that far you would probably see that. Quote
kc8oye Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 mike.. finding pistons in sizes other then std, +.030 and +.060 is really tough these days.. I remember you used to be able to order pistons in anything form .010 to .090 but most manufacturers seems to have stopped that. or at least, the retailers have. Quote
LuckyKenny Posted December 12, 2010 Author Posted December 12, 2010 I think it's tapering inside the cylinder It's slowly dying Quote
LuckyKenny Posted January 5, 2011 Author Posted January 5, 2011 Well 3500 miles later.... It started to miss again Took it out cleaned off the plug and showed my piston rings WHO'S BOSS! Quote
