Alize LowRod Posted June 5, 2013 Author Posted June 5, 2013 No I did not need different fenders... Unless you are talking about the fender wells... (front) then yes, I did, becuse I have wider and bigger rims then the stock ones. The rear fenders had plenty of room to accommodate the bigger rims and air ride set up tho. Quote
Redrock Kustoms Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Sorry yes I meant inner fenders. I'm going airride and need inner fenders this year. car might not get airride till next year. Just don't want to buy fenders to have to replace next year lol. Quote
Leghome Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 I have a friend who modified his stock inners because of the air ride system. Basically he tubbed his inners so if the air ride went down while on the road he could still maneuver the car. It might take a few times of backing up and turn a little more but at least he can move it. Quote

Alize LowRod Posted March 19, 2014 Author Posted March 19, 2014 I would like to see pics of that as well, since as of now, i can't drive if my air ride was to go out. But I also have lowering spindles in the front as well, so I lay cross member when I do let out all of the air. Quote
Alize LowRod Posted March 19, 2014 Author Posted March 19, 2014 My winter project has been ripping out and redoing the wiring in Alize... There was a lot of crappy work done in it due to so many so called electrical professionals touching it over the years. (Hack Jobs!) So doing it up right now... Hope to have it almost done by this weekend. Since it has taken over 3 months to track down and red do it all. Got help from my man's cuz's hubby who knows wiring extra well in cars. A Few Pics of the process: Some New power Next to the Old Some of the new power and ground we are using Custom Loom Work we are working on, may be changed before we finish. but seems to be working well. I will post more pics as we get more done. Hard to see what we have done in the pics I have already taken. Basically we are removing all unneeded wiring, and updating all we can with out tearing everything apart. also redoing all the new wire that has been put in or spliced in in the last 10y that I have had it by people who thought they knew what they where doing. By the time I am done Alize will have 3 bats. One to start the car only and run some small accessories. One to run the sound system only, and one to run the air ride only. Quote
jacob Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 cool car keep the pictures coming how does it ride with air ride. Quote
Alize LowRod Posted April 28, 2014 Author Posted April 28, 2014 cool car keep the pictures coming how does it ride with air ride. It rides better then stock, at least I think it dues. As long as you are not riding with out enough air in the air ride. LoL Quote
Alize LowRod Posted April 28, 2014 Author Posted April 28, 2014 Took out all the heater core and box crap from under Alize's dash All nice and open now... Using an old 1971/1972 plate I found at a swop meet to fill in the hole to be a little different. Took out all the seats and dash to run new wires under the carpet and threw the dash and back seat area. Some of the new wires going from bat #3 to bat #4 and the system. Bat #1 starts the car and runs the head lights dash lights power windows and other stock accessories. Bat #2 is hooked to bat #1 and #3 to get power and to give power to the system, and bat #3. Bat #3 is for the air ride. Bat #1 and #3 will have an isolater between them so when the car is not running Bat #3 and #4 will not be drawing from bat #1. So I can play my system and play with the air ride at car shows with out worry about not being able to start the car after. But when its running the alternator will charge all 3 bats. We should have her all done by this coming weekend. we have been taking a little longer to finish her to try and do some extra clean up since we have her pulled apart so far. I plan to shampoo the carpets and maybe spot die them since there are areas I found that are starting to fade from age (sun) Can't wait to get her done and cruising! Been a long winter! Quote
Alize LowRod Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Finaly got my bage on today on Alize. Only have had it a few months. LoL... Love it and it looks great! Quote
Alize LowRod Posted January 19, 2016 Author Posted January 19, 2016 I'm planning on going to the Eastern meet this year. Trying to find a deal on renting a crew cab truck and car trailer to rent since there is no way I am going to get 4 kids and myself and my fence and all our over night bags in Alize. Any one know of places that rent them for a descent price. I may also see if I can barrow a truck/trailor. Bit not going to hold my breath on that. Who is going to the meet and where do you plan to stay. I am also researching places to stay since like I said have 6 ppl to get 1 or 2 rooms for the weekend. Getting excited. Told everyone if it means I have to miss out on all other car shows this year so I can afford to go to the meet. So be it. Have been wanting to go for years but never have got too. 2 Quote

I plan to leave early Saturday morning since its about a 4.5 to 5hr drive from Indianapolis to the show. Camping Saturday night and leave after the event on Sunday for home. Getting super excited! Alize LowRod Posted December 14, 2020 Author Posted December 14, 2020 My 1971 Monte, was featured in a music video down town Indianapolis, on the circle about 2 months ago. They just released it on YouTube last night. Link: They had my car, myself (I look like a dork) and my kids. They asked to use it when they saw us cruising the circle. And asked us to be in the video a little. Something fun.... Quote
