Hey does anyone know if the core support is interchangeable between chevelle and montecarlo 1972, just curious cause ausley chevelle has core supports for 135 bucks. I figured i should ask the experts lol

According to the GM parts catalog they are different. 1972 Chevelle is listed as PN 3992652 & 1972 Monte is listed as PN 6261996. The parts catalog has a printing date of July 1972.

Hey rich, thanks for the info. Now i can focus on getting one out of a monte. Are all three year monte carlos use the same core support? or do i have to use 72 only. Thanks for any info again

Keith I think they are different and more geared towards the years as and If I am wrong someone will chime in the 1970 is shaped different on the outside edges due to the fenders being diff to from 70-72 right where they bolt onto the rad support and also due to each year being different as the park lights are in different places for all 3 years and I think the rad support is shaped with that in mind....

and yes the Chevelle ones WONT work.....
