Monteman1971 Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 So the rug on my door panels was looking faded and made an otherwise nice panel look dingy. So I took them off and redyed the carpet....but that's not the tech help... So after the rug was looking all sharp, now the rest of the panel looked a bit dingy because the stitching had lost that really black look, especially in the pull handle. So with the use of a little shoe polish (the kind in the tin) and an old tooth brush, they look like new again. I figured they use shoe polish on your shoes and it doesn't wear off on your pants so why not. A bit of buffing with a rag and the shoe polish brush and I'm very impressed with how they came out. So I figured I would pass this on..... Steve Quote
bigtankjones Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Hmmm. That sounds like a Good Idea, Steve. Quote
Phil Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Nice move, I used to have those door lock buttons without the head on them, cool. Quote
Phil Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 The hard part is finding it in blue or green. Find a good Pimp Supply shop. Quote
Andy's Auto Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Think PIMP!!! I dare you to click it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZwhNFOn4ik Quote
70mcarlo Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Something wrong with my audio driver, it keeps repeating the same thing over and over. Gonna take awhile to get that out of my head... Quote
Jared Richey Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Looks Good steve. So you used the polish on the whole vinyl part of the panel, correct? Quote
Andy's Auto Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 The truly sad part of that interior is yes, it is my LS powered Malibu. Yes it is full of dead Alligator. And yes, it has a DVD screen in the deck that works. Been watching Kung Fu Panda and driving for weeks now. Quote
Phil Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Got to get that on my Ipod. Alligator seats look good Andy Quote
Monteman1971 Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 By the time your done with putting the polish on the stitching the entire panel is covered.....after buff and polish, It doesn't get on your clothes. That's one eye opening interior Andy! Steve Quote
