Xxyyzz Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Got my new cragar D-windows installed along with new Indy 500 Firehawk tires. 235/60/15 fronts 255/70/15 rears for those who are interested. Any and all positive/negative opinions are welcome. I know it sits high, but I like it :-D Quote
bigtankjones Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 I like the ride height the way it is. Wheels look good to Quote
Chevyss Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 That's definately the look of today. It looks great. Not my cup of tea, but I just old. Quote
72-CLASSIC_RIDE Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 If your happy with it, stay with it! Tires do seem to make the difference in appeal. Doug Quote
Austin Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 I love chrome chrome wheels and polished aluminum and usally hate black wheels, but I like these and they look great on your monte. And I also like the stance too Quote
dbreese Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Kinda gives the car that old school NASCAR look. I'm digging it! David Quote
footballubet Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 I like those. Goes good with the tinted windows. Quote
Xxyyzz Posted August 14, 2012 Author Posted August 14, 2012 Thanks for all the positive comments guys! Quote
70mcarlo Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I like those. Goes good with the tinted windows. Quote
MCfan Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Mark, when I compare this photo with your signature photo, I'd say you have achieved a lot with your wheel/tire change. You have been able to express the kind creativity and individuality that sets your Monte apart from the masses. I really appreciate that talent in others because I am so hopelessly left-brained that I seldom, if ever, come up with anything creative. With that aggressive stance and the "any terrain capability" look of your wheels and tires, your Monte looks ready to take on all comers anywhere. Nice job! I like it! Quote
rah72(Rick) Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I say to each is own, the wheels look good but I am a huge fan on the rally wheels. For me they are the best rim well the 8in wide ones are the better ones, although I don't have mine on yet. I still run the 7in ones. Car looks good for sure like I said even if they are not my choice. Quote
amsterdam84 Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Reminds me of the fast and furious monte carlo. Love that look. Quote
Xxyyzz Posted August 15, 2012 Author Posted August 15, 2012 I don't dislike the rally's, I actually like them a lot! I just like the blacked out look better. As far as selling them goes, I am working with a member right now. I will post them here if anything falls through. -Mark Quote
bdoubleu Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Definitely looks great! And loved the tint. Quote
Evan91 Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Not my style but looks good. I really like the stance you have. Quote
Monteman1971 Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 I like it but I think if you lowered the back it would look more NASCAR.... Steve Quote
Xxyyzz Posted August 19, 2012 Author Posted August 19, 2012 i have air shocks so i can lower it easily just to see how it would look. How many inches lower should i try? -Mark Quote
MCfan Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Mark, if lowering the rear doesn't fly, maybe you could install 2 inch spacers in your front coils, get a vanity plate that says "72 MC A/T" and make all the Jeep owners jealous! There isn't any amount of bling they could throw at their rides to compete with the good looks of your Monte! Quote
ddiddle Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Will those rear tires rub if you take it down 2 inches, or will they tuck under? I like it, by the way. I'm a sucker for rake. Quote
Monteman1971 Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 The front is sort of high so I would make it level. Once you lower the rear the weight will transfer and the front should come up a bit too. But we need a new pic to confirm Steve Quote
Xxyyzz Posted August 23, 2012 Author Posted August 23, 2012 I let out all the air in the rear and it closed the gap a lil bit. I think I'm going to leave it like that.... Although an all terrain monte would be pretty sweet! -Mark Ill get a pic ASAP Quote
beater72 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Like Like, Like!!!Looks awesome. It only matters if you like it. Looks sweet! Quote
