MC-71 Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 How many members want one of the rear bumper pads that go on the 71 SS. Please answer on this post if you are interested. Quote
LostnFound Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Sounds to me that Precision is going to reproduce them but they might be a little more expensive this time. Quote
Sam (Bones) Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 I might want one, depending on price, i have bumper guards now, but considering replacing rear bumper and then I would want one Quote
LostnFound Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Sounds to me that they may be closer to around $300 this time but let's wait and see. Quote
MC-71 Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 Willie, Myself and Larry are both working on getting these made again. Larry has talked to the President of Precision and I'm talking to a vendor who will sell them. I have no idea about the price but Larry has a good idea. Keep in tune with this and it will happen. Maybe a group deal. We will see. Quote
wallaby Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I'm due for one as well, but the wallet makes the decisions. Quote
willie Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I am in for a group deal. Keep us posted. Thanks Carl and Larry Quote

mc71454 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 I will take 1 or maybe 2..  I think I must have gotten one of the last few for $195 a few years ago  Quote
Monteman1971 Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 I'm in for one depending on the price.... Â Steve Quote
jstadter Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 I'd be interested in one. My original has the infamous rust around the attaching bolts. Quote
MC-71 Posted November 23, 2012 Author Posted November 23, 2012 Okay Leo. How soon and how much? Thanks. Quote
LostnFound Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Leo....you are getting some? When and how much? Thanks, Larry Quote
ripleydale Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 I think Leo is telling you he is interested in purchasing 20 of them, I don't think he has 20 to sell. I think I might have claimed his last one a year or two back. Quote
LostnFound Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Thanks Kelly....that makes more sense. Leo....if you want 20 plus what the rest of us want, I had better let this guy know so that he does enough of them. Quote
overdrive Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 It would be a shame if they are reproduced without using stainless steel hardware. I am interested in one, if the price is within reach and stainless is used. Â Dan Quote
tanzilla Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Count me in for one; my bumper pad's a total mess. Â Also, I apologize for my forum ineptitude, but could you steer me to the best posts on roof replacement? My roof is the typical swiss cheese due to vinyl top and I need to decide if a skin is the way to go or total roof replacement by slicing the A and C pillars of my and the donor car. I'll be doing the work myself. Â Thanks! Quote
71 MONTE 4 YA Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 HERE IS A BUMPER PAD ON EBAY!!! Quote
tanzilla Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 joparts doesn't mention whether the ebay auction is an original or repro pad, although if a repro, it's about half of what the parts place 'last one' costs. Â Any update on the new repro pads? Quote
LostnFound Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 The guy looking at reproducing the bumper pads is still thinking about it and hasn't committed to reproducing them yet. Quote
Jared Richey Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 I don't understand how someone has a mold for something, and it mysteriously dissappears??? Someone invested all that $$ into making a new mold for this part 10 years ago or whenever it came out. Wait to make the part when you get orders for it, I understand its not highly in demand. Quote
