not the same ,but should work

my 69 skylark has a flat stamped c/m and my monte has a stock tubular design.

Hey Bruce your best bet for inter-changeable parts without a doubt is 70-72 chevelle for better part will all interchange with 70-72 monte carlo. Also some 68-69 chevelle parts as well but limited... not sure on the Skylark as Bob has mentioned so it might be trial and error there...

chevelles are bolted directly to frame, the buicks and pontiacs are rubber mounted like montes. just curious if anyone has used one???

Local swap meet, are usually good, or one of the larger supply houses. If you strike out, any of the Chevelle supply houses should have it. I use and like The Parts Place for the majority of my needed parts.

There are also some members that may have the part you are looking for too. Leo Konig or Jared Richey are just a few. You could also put it in the Wanted section of the Classifieds and see what happens.

Are the Velle members the same as the monte ones, but bolting on instead of slip fit?

Bought my chevelle cross member @ super chevy swap meet for $20. Nice and solid now. Inexpensive upgrade, gotta love that.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll give that a shot. Heckeng- My monte has the slip type and I'm wanting to put in a overdrive and would like to upgrade the cross member to a solid bolt in type like the chevelles have

"Slip Fit" new term for me. What does it mean?

My 71 350 4BBL with THM-350 has two bolts on the end of each R&L end of the rear transmission cross member. The end is surrounded by a rubber NVH insulator where it bolts to the frame.
