10 bolt to 12 bolt Moser

Going from a stock 10 bolt to a Moser 12 bolt do I need to shorten the drive shaft? The drive shaft looks longer now.

Yep it is shorter for the 12 bolt app. I can't remember exactly but i want to say it was 54 1/2" for my app. This was measured from the center of the trans yoke joint hole to the center of the pinion yoke hole. IIRC I pushed the trans yoke in until it bottomed out then pulled it out about an inch then took the measurments. I just went and had another d/s built since I was going to 1350 joints and was making a little more power.

 

BTW the measurements need to be taken with the suspension at rest.

54 1/2 was the magic number. Dropped the d/s this morning and it will be done later today. One step closer to testing out the 3:73's

Ohhhhh ya! I will make up for it with a 700 R4. Lower 1st gear over the TH350. Even more smiles. Heehee
