If its the sumitt or hurst brand attach the button with double sided tape on the left side of the shifter so your thumb has easy access...works for me!
Looks great. I have the same tires on my 70...At 26 in tall it helps get a lil more outta the 355 gears...i believe that they have 10 in of tread and 11.5 section width though.
I think your gonna have a smile from ear to ear when you mash the pedal...Many of us run that cam in both BB's and SB's. Great power to 6000. I take mine to 6500 w/1.6 rr's.. Lots of write ups on your combo in the mags. I run it in my 355 and got into the 12's, Robyn ran it in his Sb, also in the 12's. Monteman1971 ran it in his 402 and it hauled [censored]. Mike Voltz wants to use it for his next build. I'm not a combo expert but I would say that w/ your stall, gear and carb your spot on. Maybe a nice head in the future for some more ponies?? I think this combo will be a tire fryer for sure...good luck!! Al
Happy to say that today I ran a 12.8 @ 103mph, 355ci w/a XE274 cam, Dart pro 1 heads, pro systems 780 4150 carb, Coan 10 inch 3000-3500 stall, 355 gears, th350, 26x11.5 M/T drag radial.
Stock wheel studs arent long enough for my new wheels guys. I think they are 7/16-20 but not 100% sure and I dont know the knerl size.. Can anyone possibly help me in seeing what knerl is factory for the front and back and if I can get the same just a 1/2 - 3/4 inch longer so I can bang out the old and send in the new..I dont want to start getting into aftermarket studs that are wider and require drilling and cutting to size if I dont have to. Thanx, Al
Savva, Got them from Santa..lol. Your gonna have to be good for the year and write a letter..LOL!!!....I'll ask Kris, shes the one who got them for me.
I have postage stamps with my Monte on them but not a credit card. I do use a seperate credit card just for the Monte for online purchases at Sumitt/Jegs. Like all of you, I'm a valued customer. lol!
The old "Converter Fright"..A lot of us have been there...take the plunge!!..All I can say is that they make a converter thats tighter than a frogs [censored] under water untill you mash the pedal..It might not feel like stock but you'll get used to it fast and get ready to pay a little extra at the pump. Im curious to see other relpies as well. Good luck!
I thought that their Competition 10in 3000-3500 was a bit much for my mild small block..But Craig said it would stall on the low end of 3000-3200 and he nailed it..if you have the $$ go for it. They've been "spot on" in every recommendation that I have heard about so far..good luck w/ whatever you do..your gonna love a good converter but either way your going to pay for it. Al
Hey everyone, this is my 1st post in this forum. I had some trouble with my pc a short time ago. Seems like I had a massive amount of viruses/parasites which were seriously slowing me down. A computer wiz buddy helped me download a program called Spyhunter 3. It cost $30/yr and seriously found over 1100 so called parasites on its 1st run. It scans everything and kills all these pesky things that track your history and are a nuissance to your pc. From what I understand these parasites keep track of what you do and where you go and then feed back advertisements and junk. They are constantly running when your on your pc. I've heard the phrase "key Loggers" before..I dont know if this is what its finding but it sounds similar. I run this check now almost every night and it kills anywhere from 45-60 parasites per day in my cookies alone..I'm a novice at this stuff and dont know much, but this spyware 3 cleared out all the $hit in my pc and now its running great..I did away with AOL too, thats probably another reason its faster now..lol....just thought i'd share. regards, Al
