No way, that wasn’t an insinuation for anyone. Just a general observation on my part. Like I said, technology is good and bad. I use newer technology everyday. And used to be in the repair business of that field. So I have seen it advance. But when, if it is used , and it can be, to control or dissuade the young from using their minds , i can’t agree with that concept. Actually, it isn’t the technology, come to think of it. It’s the powers that be whom are in control of using that technology for there own benefit to control others thinking.. 🤔 one that I can think of is the constant advertising of video games that seemingly program our youth to do things they will regret.. to me, they are being programmed.

Interesting conversation, have to get my 2 cents in here. For what it’s worth.. kids, a different world for them now than when I grew up. They are being indoctrinated into a higher technological environment my opinion is , it is not teaching them to think. Everything is completed for them at a touch of a button.. if you can’t think for yourself, you are easily manipulated to conform.. when I grew up, we did things ourselves, sometimes the hard learning way. But we built on that .. as far as automotive technology, it’s really beneficial for engine efficiency and comfort of the vehicle.. however, seems to me at least, a lot of the new technology is being used to pry into private lives… something I don’t agree with.. that’s my take on things, good but bad on the technology..

My high speed is the same , but I’ve never traced the situation down.. sounds like a new winter project!:)

I usually preferred trophys when I started out but like you say, plaques take up less space and are also easier to store away or display…pretty sure only the 1970-1984 category had the 70 Monte.. 1950-1969 had an older vehicle … and then there was 1985-2000 , ect… must have had some kind of etching machine like you mentioned earlier…

It was a long hot day for everyone:).. I took a shower , I promise.. but as the day progressed, everyone moved further apart.🥵

I’ve noticed over the years, most of these shows have gone from trophys to plaques due to the rising cost of supplies. And now , even the nice plaques are becoming a challenge financially.. A local show ‘ Boonesboro Nationals, went from these hugh beautiful plaques to one about 6 inches square last year.. this one the car won yesterday is pretty much home made. It’s pretty tho.. our FGMCC is very fortunate to have such nice awards for its members…

Went to that local show yesterday, Saturday. About 250 classic cars… trucks..The 71 did pretty good in its class. 1970 thru 1984.. came in first place of top 15 in that class… she looked good and strutted her stuff.. got some plugs in for FGMCC and a showboard application too .. 🏆

Received a new show board by UPS yesterday that I ordered while in Carlisle.. Tom SanSoucie of Flash Cars Inc did a superb job !. Car show tomorrow I’ll put it on display with the 71.. I signed up to go hoping it will bring some rain 😂. About a 40 mile trip one way. Usually hundreds of cars.. not looking forward to sitting in the heat all day but the 71 hasn’t been to a local show this year.. We’ll see how she does…

Camping again, glutton for punishment in this humidity. Even gonna try grilling a burger 🍔 again since Carlisle.. thankful for the AC on the camper tho.. Not far from DTRET. Big bone lick state park, nice . What’s for dinner? Beef! well, once again, I’m here but can’t prove it.. maybe I should invest in a phone with a smaller screen. 📺

Here’s a not so good shot of the original valve on my 71. I think there’s quite a bit missing. The lines are still amazingly intact tho..

I purchased the original style straps for the tire iron at opgi a few years ago. Actually had them in stock. Not sure about now tho 🤔..

Yal, just got mine hooked up properly.. and dressed the lines with an elbow .. like canouk says, the other line is the vacuum input for the all climate selection module under dash pad.. I connected mine to the vacuum pod canister beside hvac evaporator housing..
-
I would ask you to do that for mine too, but it still has the original valve on it, and even tho it would be nice to have it functioning, I don’t want to mess with it ..
