  1. Anyone have pictures of where the two small 1/4 inch hoses that go thru the fire wall go on the engine side?
  2. Does anyone have pictures of where the two small 1/4 inch lines that come thru the fire wall hook up?
  3. I have two small 1/4 inch lines that come out of the firewall, can anyone tell me where they go? And I'm not talking about wiper splash hoses. these look like a/c hoses?
  4. I have a 1970 Monte Carlo SS 454. It's an original build sheet car, fully restored—except for the engine. It now has a beefed-up 454 that tends to vapor lock when idling in Florida heat and traffic for extended periods. To help with this, I added a return line and a return-style fuel filter, which improved things somewhat. I was also advised to install a quality Holley fuel pump and regulator with a bypass. The issue is, no one mentioned that the bypass regulator requires a 3/8-inch return line, but my car only has a 1/4-inch return line running back to the tank. So here’s my question: Does anyone know where I can get a fuel tank sending unit with a 3/8-inch return line that fits a 1970 Monte Carlo SS tank? Or alternatively, can I safely use one of the existing fuel tank vent lines as a return? Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
  5. PM ? you mean phone number
  6. Can you send me a picture?
  7. Trying to find lower parts for the ac vent housing. It appears to be a cover looks square that is missing anyone have picture it night be some kind of deflector that bolts to the housing. Can some one help?
  8. Does anyone have pictures of the A/c vent-on bottom next to valve for a console SS 454?
  9. Thank you that's important. what manual do you have?
  10. Actually ordered the filter I guess you mean capacitor. That's why my post is named capacitor I am trying to see if my issue is just that simple. As far as voltages when the alternator turns on by the blue wire i could see 17 volts easy. I just saw this post and wondered if he had tried that. Some people say its RMS capacitor some say its spiked voltage changes that it helps with. Simply stops burning points in regulator. etc.
  11. OOPs didn't see that...yeah, I tried that four times. I still have a overcharge issue I think. And my head lights brighten and dull depending on RPM. Seems to be eating up regulators? Could it be the external capacitor? I have heard the capacitor is for RMI and heard is just for pulses generated by a mechanically operated NOS regulator. Just looking for some more information.
  12. Did you find out the fix for this?
  13. Alternator rebuilt NOS regulator lights brighten and dim. Voltage seems to spike any ideas. ??? Capacitor issue on regular ??? I have been thru new and old regulators ???? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!
  14. Interesting Yes, my thoughts exactly especially seeing this car has almost every single option available on an SS454.
  15. Thanks for the response that’s what I’m thinking! Also.
  16. Yes the oo595 is on my build sheet. thanks for the responses! thanks. That what I’m thinking also.
  17. O1 B. Means the second week of January so why does it not mean second week of 1970. ? And why is the tag number oo595 so low. and why does the body tag number change from body tag to body tag. in just trying to get some answers. On that number. I realize it’s nothing to do with vin.
  18. Why does the 00595 change from tag to tag if it has nothing to do with dates. ?
  19. So why does the body tag number for example 00595 change from body tag to body tag. ? and if the tag has an 01 B on it why is that not Jan second week. 1970 ?
  20. Can anyone shed some light on this? For example if you have a body tag 1970 that has 00595 in the body part of the tag does that mean it was the 595 car off the line? Especially if the tag states it came off the second week of January 1970?
  21. DO you know if these part numbers for the bolts are still avaiilable? thats what im missing?
