  1. I’m going to the 2025 Syracuse Nationals too. A great car show and cruising event in the scenic Lake George area of New York. Looking forward to it and meeting up with other Club members too. Hopefully you’ll come join us for this event.
  2. Excellent. It shows that our Monte values keep increasing.
  3. California Car Cover makes the “Noah” cover. Mine is 15 plus years old and still looks and functions like new. I use it indoors when my Monte is stored in the garage, outside on my driveway or the Showfield overnight at Carlisle. It’s pricy, but it has held up very well and is great investment for your car and paint. I know other Club members that have and use this cover too. I can attest to this manufacturer and model of car cover. There are other brands out there. Covercraft is another reputable manufacturer. See what best fits your needs and budget.

    Hi

Welcome Scotty, to the First Generation Monte Carlo Club !! The best place for information, experience and knowledge of the First Generation Monte Carlo’s. Thank you for becoming a full dues paying member too. As other members have said, plenty of upcoming Club Meets to attend and participate in. If you have questions, ask away. We really love photos too. Welcome and enjoy your Monte !!!
  6. Good thoughts and prayers for our fellow Club members, friends and family in this area. Unbelievable devastation and loss going on. Prayers for all the First responders, FD, PD, EMS, Cal Fire, LAFD, US Forest Service and many others working or responding to these historic fires.
  7. Thank you Jeff. As you know, this is the best to be for First Generation Monte Carlo camaraderie, information and experience. We appreciate you becoming a full dues paying member and hope you will come join us at one or more of our Club events. Come meet some of your fellow members you talk to on line, see some beautiful Monte’s, participate in our Club activities and have a great time.
  8. That’s OK Bruce. It only make the First Generation Monte Carlo’s more desirable and worth more too !!!
  9. Welcome Anthony !!! You’re in the best place possible for First Generation Monte Carlo info, technical assistance, camaraderie, family and fun. Ask away and “we love photos” too. Again, welcome and enjoy.
  10. Willie, Please go and enjoy your cruise with your family. Both you and your wife have recently retired and should enjoy a well deserved family cruise. No worries Willie, we will see you at the 2026 Syracuse Nationals Mini Meet. All of our members are welcome and encouraged to take advantage of our various Club Meets, our Eastern and Western Meets, and our Carlisle-GM Nationals and Syracuse Nationals Mini Meets. It’s a great way to meet other Club members, see and participate in other or different car show venues and various Club activities with or without your Monte Carlo. Our Monte Carlo’s bring us together but our members are” The Club”. These events are held for our Club members. I always get pulled aside, either at the Club hotel or during car shows we are attending by other car club members and their officers, asking about our various Club activities, how and why we do them. Whether it’s sitting in our circle for some bench racing or door prizes or a pizza party, a meal together, sitting by our Club tents on the Showfield, or maybe having a Club dinner and awards, I explain it to them, that it’s very simple. It is for and about our Club members to have a great time, enjoy each other’s company and make the most of our time together. As we all know, these Meet’s do go by quickly when you are attending and enjoying yourselves. So make the effort to come try something new with your fellow Monte members. There are plenty of stories to be told and shared. We are family friendly too and hope to see you at a various Club event or events. I know it has been said before on other threads in the Forums, but any Club member that would like to plan a Mini Meet, please contact one of the Club Officers. We would be happy to assist you in planning a successful Meet.
  11. Let’s hope it’s more of a reality than a rumor. If it is true, hopefully it will be up and ready for the 2026 Syracuse Nationals.
  12. Great news !!! The hotel contract has been secured for the upcoming 2025 First Generation Monte Carlo Club Mini Meet at the Syracuse Nationals !!! Our Club Host hotel will be with the Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton for this event. This is the same hotel we have used prior. They have done an excellent job in accommodating our Club for this event. If you have any intentions of attending this Mini Meet, PLEASE BOOK YOUR ROOM RESERVATION SOONER THAN LATER as hotel space in the Syracuse area is at a premium for this event and the majority of the hotel rooms are sold out prior to this event. You must be or become a dues paying member in good standing to make a hotel reservation at the Club discounted rate and to participate in this Club Mini Meet. - A group of First Generation Monte Carlo Club members has stayed at this hotel for prior Syracuse Nationals Mini Meets. We agreed to a certain criteria, a hotel contract for a greatly reduced room price, free daily hot and cold breakfast, safe parking for our tow and show vehicles with sufficient trailer parking, a hotel location with easy access from 2 Interstate highways, close to the NYS Fairgrounds where the Syracuse Nationals are held, the City of Syracuse with very good dining and restaurants, gas stations with quality vehicle fuel and nearby nightly cruise in’s. We even found a local homemade ice cream stand just off the hotel property. So come join us for “Largest Car Show in the Northeast” on approximately 400 acres of the NY State Fairgrounds. Come meet other Club members, enjoy some great food, fun, antics, camaraderie, homemade ice cream and an awesome car show event. Danny Koker from “Counting Cars” TV show and owner of “Counts Kustoms” will be a special guest at this event. 13. Happy New Year to our Club members and their families !!! Wishing everyone Peace, prosperity and good health. May 2025 be a great year for all.
  14. Lousy timing of this occurrence, but you’re in good hands now. Smooth sailing with the removal and wishing you a speedy recovery.
  15. Wishing all of our First Generation Monte Carlo Club family a wonderful holiday season. Enjoy the time spent together with your family and friends. Hopefully Santa brings lots of new Monte parts for all !!!
  16. Bruce, Maybe it’s time to have some “pickers” stop by your home and help you lighten the load.
  17. Frank, Thanks for the update and info.
  18. Not quite that cold here, in the low teens but with the wind chill it felt like zero.
  19. Wishing Wheel all the best. He was always upbeat and seemed to make the best of a situation, whatever it was.
  20. Wishing all of our Club members and their families a very Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy the day !!!

    Pre-lit fake too.
  22. I know and learned about this area prior. It’s where I found and purchased my Monte SS from, in the Greenwood Lake region. The owner resided on the New Jersey side and the Monte was kept in a garage on the New York side.
  23. It’s multiple fires in a very large area with very rough terrain area that bulldozers can’t work in to cut fire lines. So no access or safe terrain for brush trucks to operate in. Definitely not enough manpower, and it all has to be hand. All hose has to be walked and carried in. Some of the locations are multiple miles in these areas and all water has to be pumped in. The wind has finally died down today and hopefully they will be using helicopters and fixed wing tankers to do airdrops. This will help greatly and hopefully they will make some better progress in the next few days. I live on Long Island and numerous Fire Departments from both Counties have been requested and mutual aided for pumper trucks with a full crew, additional manpower and additional hose for this fire. The temperature has significantly dropped too. Lows in the low 30’s last night and forecasted for the 20’s tonight.
  24. I would like to thank all of our Club members who have served in any branch of the Military on this Veteran’s Day. We thank you all for your commitment and service.
  25. Check your U joints.
