I found this picture of a 4 row chevelle radiator and it doesn't look like mine...

I sure that we will get a few more responses... If I need to take a better picture (closer) let me know... Just want to make sure it is the right radiator before I have it flushed and checked for blockage... If it is wrong then I will just get a new al one with e-fans... That should fix my cooling problems...

The thermostat I pulled out was a 195 degree... Montemedic: That is what I was thinking when I pulled it out. I haven't worked on a car in year probably over 12 years ago was the last time I even touched a wrench...

IS this the correct radiator for a 454?? it doesn't look like a 4 core to me...

I seen some white smoke in the exhaust this weekend so I'm thinking that I have something not so good going on...

I'll take some pics Bones... And I will get the radiator checked and flushed... I did see pieces of chevy orange paint in the radiator...

Not sure on the guage stage I just got it so all it new... I did check the coolant level today it was a little low and there was nothing in the overflow container... I filled it up and started her up ran her with the cap off the radiator and seen the coolant rise and fall once the car was above ~190 so I would say the thermostat is working and so is the water pump along with the radiator not being clogged; however, it is burnin very very rich as the exhaust was burning my eyes just getting the car up to temp... Major carb issues... I think I need to fix that first and see how that effects the temp... Thoughts???

I spoke to the second previous owner who had engine mods done and he said that he never had a problem with it running hot. That it has a new radiator and clutch fan and thermostat. Talked to the owner I bought it from and he also made engine mods see the attached rebuilt sheet. Are the walls to thin now?? Is that what is causing the heat issues?? Previous owner said he didn't drive it much after the rebuild to notice any cooling issues.

Ok just got a 70 SS 454... The 454 hasn't freshly rebuilt and has been modified to be a 466, how hot should this thing be running?? And I need some ideas to help cool this thing down... I am up in the 230 to 250...

You might try installing a new simultaneous dual-band wireless router as the 5GHz network would provide better service as there is less interference in that frequency range...

You might try clearing your browser history & cookies...

Jim, It would be great to know if your manufacturer finds that someone does make them and they are willing to pass that information along.

I guess it goes without saying that I am in for a least one set. I have three out of the four pieces, so I guess I will have to fine a good used set.

Anyone know what the to seals/weatherstripping behind the quarter glass windows are called? One clips to the inside roof metal and the other screws to the outside roof metal. I need to locate these parts to move forward with my Monte. Any help would be great. I can e-mail pictures if someone can help.

My Monte was Pacer Gold with Light Saddlewood and the pilar covers are brown as color as the dash pad....

Here's a question... How that heck do ya remove the original style wiper arms... I think that mine have been on the car since 72... I don't want to damage them as they are in good shape...

Where is the best place to pick up the Fisher Body Book and the Service Manual... I have seen them on ebay but not sure if that is the best price....

When I get home today I will post the numbers that are on the bottom of the can... I looked in the paint department and the auto department @ Walmart yesterday for an Expoxy Primer but I didn't find any... I went ahead an purchased the gray primer that they had in the auto department I know that I will be able to use it later even if I don't use it on the rims... Where can I find this Expoxy Primer and is it mark as Expoxy Primer...
