  1. I added nice 194 LEDs to my side markers.
  2. Welcome to FGMCC Mark!
  3. I installed mine, and they look and work great! 20250704_162214.mp4
  4. GoDaddy might have been doing some maintenance on their end - Server or website hosting related maintenance/ updates.
  5. I have a set of Rockford Fosgate Punch P1462 4x6 speakers for my stereo dash, but the driver's side area between the cowl and the back of the instrument cluster, doesn't leave enough room to mount it there even with custom speaker mounts. It wants to sit right up against the cluster printed circuit board. I already have a brand new set of really nice Cerwin Vega 6x9 speakers in the rear package tray. I was thinking of finding a set of 3.5" or 4" speakers for the dash, and then maybe move these 4x6 RF Punch speakers down to the kick panels.
  6. @1Bad454 What size and model are your Hertz speakers?
  7. Joe sent me a link to RetroSound 4x6 speakers, but the reviews on them aren't the best. I some Kenwood 4x6 speakers with a more shallow magnet, but they sound like crap compared the RF Punch P1462 speakers. There is just so little room to make the speaker fit in the Driver's side dash between the cowl and the instrument cluster without the speaker rubbing on the printed circuit board for the gauges. Anyone else have another choice for speakers for the stereo dash?
  8. I bought my Cooper Cobra tires through the Walmart App. I haven't put them on the Cragar wheels yet, because I want the Monte to be painted first.
  9. How the suspension looks with the new parts.
  10. This is how tall my Monte sat with the air shocks maxed out on the stock 72 Monte rear coil springs.
  11. I just bought a new 18v One+ Ryobi pressure washer so I can clean the 53 yr old grime off the undercarriage of the Monte.
  12. I didn't disconnect the driveshaft. I just used a big pry bar to pull down at the same time of working the coil springs over the lower mount humps. The first axle bushing I drilled holes in the rubber and burnt it with a fire wrench, and then took a cold chisel to dent the rear of the sleeve and then knocked it out with the 4 lb hammer. The 2nd bushing I drilled out the rubber, and then cold chiseled the sleeve and knocked it out with the 4 lb hammer. I put the new bushings/sleeves in the freezer for one hour at 5° and they went in easier with the dead blow and 4 lb hammer. I like the look a lot better so far. I had to go buy a grease gun to grease the zerks. I put 9 lbs of air into the new Monroe maxi ride air shocks.
  13. Having never done the rear control arms of a Monte Carlo before, it was just a learning process. It was a challenge to get the taller CC507 coil springs in due to them being taller than the stock springs.
  14. This evening I installed my new Moog CC507 rear coil springs with new isolators, and I installed the new UMI rear upper and lower control arms.
  15. I agree with Rob on that first one. I think it looks the best!
  16. This is the only good used set of 71-72 Monte rear door panels that I could find online at this point in time, so I bought them.
  17. Definitely a big-time scammer! Broken English is not their native language and is probably using a language translator.
  18. Thanks Dennis! If I can find a good set of Black ones, I'll just turn around and sell the set of light-colored ones I just bought off Ebay. I'm sure that someone on here could use them if I can find a set of Black ones.
  19. with shipping costs it was going to be over $400 for a set of brand new Black rear quarter door panels, which I cannot afford at this time. I did find a good used set on ebay for $238 shipped. They aren't Black, so I will have to either spray them with SEM Landau Black paint or maybe die them Black.
  20. Welcome to FGMCC Mark and Jim! We hope to see pictures of your Monte Carlo's and learn more about them.
  21. Can someone please post a photo of how the front marker light harnesses are ran down through the inner fenders? I installed metal inner fenders years ago, and I assume that I must need to drill new holes for them to go down to the marker lights. Thanks!
  22. Steve, I'm a member of your group. I'll start posting 1st gen Monte stuff on there and be more consistent in being on the page. I had forgotten about your page until I saw your post a couple days ago. Tonight, I installed the new rear bumper, the old bumper brackets, new license plate light, and plugged it and the reverse lights back up to the wiring harness. It's just for the work in progress category at the local car show this Saturday.
  23. I just noticed that I don't have the Black rear quarter door panels like in this link. I have the rear arm rests and ash trays, and the curved metal pieces - the upper seat fillers. I got the Black interior a few years ago in a trade for some 70 Monte Carlo parts that I had. https://www.opgi.com/interior-accessories/door-accessories/door-panels-1971-72-monte-carlo-assembled/side-panels-1971-72-monte-carlo-rear-assembled-MA113.html Does anybody on here have a set of black ones for a 71-72 that they will sell?
  24. Anyone have any Black inner bucket seat belts?
