  1. Thanks! Looks okay.. on my phone I cant see the spoiler at all.
  2. The summit kit is the one I was looking at too. The instructions seem pretty straightforward and I have all the necessary tools to do the job. Now I just have to sweet-talk the missus into spending MORE money on the Monte this year....
  3. Ahhh, sounds easy enough. Old as I am still learning new stuff every day. LOL I'll play around with it and see if I can't upload a pic or two.
  4. If you say so..... Actually I have never posted a pic on this site, don't even know how.
  5. Which disk brake conversion kit are you going to install? I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a disk brake conversion kit and wondered which one you chose.
  6. I replaced mine in the car, just by loosening removing the bolts and allowing the dash to slide forward and rest on the column, which was resting on the seat. Pretty easy other than having to reach down between the windshield and dash.
  7. Ordered my chin spoiler. Randy said it will ship on April 11, too late for the Tally barbeque but I still cannot wait!
  8. 1st check the fluid level and go from there
  9. Pretty sure they all fit.
  10. Either choice, the 700 or 200, would likely struggle in OD with stock gearing. If I was gonna do it again I would go with the 3.55's over the 3.73's because I don't race (much) and the 3.55's would be better on gas for long hauls, which is what I like to do.
  11. I went with the 200 because it is a direct bolt in. Move the crossmember back and done!
  12. You say the trans is rebuilt but the details are sketchy? Who rebuilt it? Any warrantee information provided? What kind of converter, lock up or not, does it have? Hope it all works out for you. The install is fairly straightforward and you will like the drive-ability of the vehicle once it is all set up. Though the TV cable on mine came with very good adjustment instructions I still took it to my trans guy for the final tweaking, just to be sure.
  13. It was great! Not trying to rub it in but it was mid-70's breezy, and perfect for a cruise in. I don't go to the local cruise night too often due to my schedule and didn't realize how many people I know who attend regularly. Not to worry, spring is right around the corner and it will be nice weather for you and blazing hot for me.
  14. Went to the local cruise in this evening. The Monte got a lot of attention as usual. I got to "unveil" the trunk upholstery, the aluminum compressor, and the show panel. It was good to kick some tires and talk cars with old friends.
  15. Where did you get the faceplate?
  16. Double pumper?
  17. Actually if they are similar to Jegs, they should have experts in their customer service department who can assist you in matching the correct parts to the application. I don't use Summit often so I cant say for sure what kind of expertise they have on hand. Of course the FGMCC members are experts as well as I am sure you can find many different set-ups on our Montes which all work great and the owners are happy with.
  18. Are they working with you to change your order then?
  19. Where did you order from? I am sure you can send your Holley back for either a Carter (my choice) or Edelbrock (The more popular choice) with vacuum secondaries.
  20. Ditto on the double pumper, not necessary. No need for constant secondaries unless you are racing, but that is my opinion. I run a Carter 625 with a mild 350. (bored .060, mild cam, headers, intake) Works well and haven't made a single adjustment since I installed in in 2001 and about 60K miles.

SEM makes dye that works well on the dash pad. Never tried dying a cover however.
  22. No issues with opgi. Had a loooooong backorder item that nobody was carrying, couldn't get it anywhere. About 18 months after I initially tried to order the item, they called and asked if I was still interested (they didn't charge my card) When I said I was they shipped me the parts. Hard to beat that from a customer service standpoint.
  23. Ditto, same flexplate and cooling lines
  24. I have the 200-r4 with the 3.73 gears and agree it is a bit much. In hindsight I would get the 3.55's just for gas mileage, although my car does launch really, really well.
