Yes, I’m interested, if I’m not mistaken they were previously installed, from what I see they were hard wired
-
I know I’m late to the game, are they still available

2 month update, voltage issue is a thing of the past seldomly less than 13.5v, I did install a #6 wire between the alt/bat with soldered on connectors
-
Looks great! Thanks for the post

Took Joseph advice and got a power master 140 amp alternator 13 1/2 V at idle 14 1/2 while cruising thanks Joe.

What did you do to your Monte today.

Looking good👍 -
I left the voltage regulator wired and just unplugged the two wire plug, recently I pulled the VR/horn relay, power terminal block behind the battery and cleaned the connection points, at 1200-1300 rpm 13.7V+
-
During my repowering(yes I see the joke) I went to a 1 wire alternator. One of the unforeseen results is that it needs 1200-1300 rpm to begin charging: my Holley sniper cry’s low voltage at idle such as when I was driving down the boards last week in Ocean City Md. My question is does a 3 wire alternator generate power at 800 rpm or am I better off staying with the 1 wire?

I have posted earlier that I have purchased a pair of CTS bucket seats finally worked out the wiring so now I’m going to try to fit in place of the stock bench seat. Has anyone done something similar? I have made a laughable drawing of the rails. Any advice would be appreciated; things to look out for, is there hard spots better to bolt them to…

Got them to work drivers side black = ground, large red/yellow=power, small red/white=switch power, passenger side large black=ground large red/yellow=power, red/purple=switch power only allows up/down, front/back
-
I found this drawing, the yellow box has what appears to be a measurement 5.12 ref. Any opinions are welcome

Well I got it open, harbor freight sells a inflatable pillow that I placed in the back between the hood and the firewall, got the hood to open. now to try to close it, it’s all out of wack.
-
I replaced both the hinge and the spring recently, while in the process of adjusting the hood, I took some PB blaster and lubed up all of the pivot points and yes, the hood was working fine short of not going home on the passenger side. In other words, the hood was sticking up in the rear on the passenger side. I’m at a loss at to what to do now. I don’t want to take the inner fender well out and unbolt the hinge but I may have no other option. What do you think?
-
It comes out of the latch and I can raise it 3-4” then it binds up
-
I adjusted the passenger side hinge a little lower, ie: 1/8” at the same time I installed a hood stop bolt. Went to open it today and the hood won’t open, it releases from the latch and opens high enough to get your fingers in to lift it. Tugged on it enough force to lift it but didn’t want to bend anything. It looks like the side I worked on is bound. The things I notice; looks like the hood is going down on the passenger side when I attempt to open it, the hood won’t close (latch seems out of alignment). Any suggestions?

Finally got to my hood adjustment and your advice was spot on, worked great looks good! THANKS! Now on to the side to side adjustment, little steps made great progress.

I’m looking for a new/used heater control, non ac. Or am I? The post that holds the cable for the heat broke I have been able to Jerry rig for the time being but know it’s only time before it breaks again. OPGI has ac assembles but not heat only. Since I plan on going ac in the future can I use the ac assembles for heat only in the mean time, I guess my question is more will the cables hook up, I see it has vacuum connections will the cables connect in the interm. Not sure if original or after market ac is in the future, which could influence this choice, do any of the aftermarket systems use the stock selector? Thanksin advance

From the days of my youth, I seem to remember that Chevrolet hood stripes were in two colors, black or white. I know osmole had gold on like the 442 and the W 32s, but I only remember black and white on Chevy’s. Did Monty’s ever get factory installed hood and trunk lid stripes? If so, and what colors. Thank you in advance

Is there a technique or like the rustoleum point and shoot, the guy at the Eastwood booth said when I asked him, “So would everyone.” I took that to mean there isn’t one
-
Anyone have a source for the trunk splatter paint? I’m assuming the paint is a gray splatter paint.

Left side it is thanks guys
