  2. Ever considered swapping to an electric motor ???? There's a guy down in Texas that does them, he did an interesting job on a '67-'67 Mustang.

I'm not sure Joe's right about no one wanting classic cars in the future...... I get approached regularly in parking lots by people in their late 20's and early 30's that ask if I'm interested in selling. Mind you, and not to seem racist, but they are usually new or first generation Canadians. Maybe it's because it's shiny, or just something that none of their friends have, but I still see an interest. Maybe not to the level of club membership, but still an interest.
  6. tax tax tax tax...... and more tax. lol
  7. I remember that day.... It was raining, the truck driver kept hinting about a tip, and the jets were set so rich that I had to keep my toe on the gas just to keep her running. Good memories.
  8. No shoulder belts in Montelishi.... But she was assembled in January. That might be the difference.
  9. Stamped steel (and chrome covered) valve covers have a tendency to warp over time..... That might be something you'd want to take into account.
  10. Takes time. One of the reasons I bought Montelishi was for the ease of fixing anything that might go wrong. Almost anything can be pieced back together good enough to get me home. That, and the fact that when A.I. shuts everything down, I can still get around.
  11. Hey, you had to go south to find a buyer for "Penny" who respected her value. It's the shipping that bumps up the prices of everything. That, and the wonderful tax system we have here.
  12. That's a lot of buckles..... But then again, '70's didn't have shoulder belts.
  13. They're typical for most "A/G" body cars..... Someone on one of the Chevelle sites might have a set, or if you've got a local wrecker that has cars that old, you might have some luck there.
  14. Everything's cheaper north of the border.
  15. Not that I drive either Monte that much, but come summer, Montelishi is my go to drive.
  16. Now there's a long road to that Monte's resurrection.... Best of luck, and welcome to the club. I'm sure you'll find everything you need here.
  17. Depending on your suspension, some member have gotten up to the 255/60's on the front.
  18. Yup.... Old School for sure.
  19. I went with the Sylvania H6024 "Silverstar" bulbs..... The price for the bulbs from Headlight Experts didn't jibe with the amount of use I would get from them.
  20. Ported to the carb. Or so sources say.
  21. Can't remember where, but I read something about the seats from one of the Acura sport cars were supposed to be an easy install. Plus they had powered adjustment options. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
  22. Sounds familiar.... lol I don't think Dad every met anything he didn't think he could use................Some day. My Mom explained to to me once. Having grown up it the 50' & 60's, people didn't have the luxury of just replacing everything, so stockpiling stuff that might be useful sometime down the road was common practice. Makes sense when you think about it.
  23. So is that saying that the decal is in the wrong place ??? Or has the wrong info ??? Wonder it the "restoration" suppliers have the correct one available.
  24. You think you'll have enough stuff to fill a U Haul when the time comes ????
