Welcome to a Monte world where there is someone that will be able to answer your questions and always find good banter. Looking forward to more pictures!

Seat Belts plus sells one-piece belts for bench and bucket seats that bolt into the original anchor points. They come in many different colors. A bit spendy but my wife hated the 2 piece and they are a lot easier to use. Kept the old ones if I need them later.

I stand corrected the gauge displays are visible with the ignition off but the backlighting and the info screens are off. Hard to tell they're not stock until you power it up.
-
Yes with the ignition off all you see is the gauge needles.
-
Don't know if you're trying to keep it stock as I've seen the individual gauges (especially the clock) are expensive. I installed a Dakota Digital gauge package on my 72 and am very pleased with the results

Has anyone had problems with their front stabilizer bar coming loose from the chassis? Yesterday at my local car show some one pointed to something hanging down from the front of the car. The drivers side mount had come loose from the chassis and was hanging there. good thing all I lost was one of the bolts. The threads on the chassis were undamaged. After having to explain to the Auto Zone tech the difference between a standard and a metric bolt I managed to repair it using lock washers this time. Just wondering if anyone else had this happen to them.

Keep all of us safe. Give them a ride home if necessary. We want to see everyone again after the holidays. Monte's at the ready!

Any on have an idea how many First gen's made it to the show?

Grew up in Brentwood and Rockaway Beach. Used to go to Islp Speedway as a kid. Left there 45 years ag to join the USAF. Never had the thought to return.

The time is coming for me to re-locate to the lower 48. The health insurance rates here in Alaska are very expensive. I have started to check out destinations to retire to and would like some opinions. We prefer to be on the east coast. Last summer we were touring around DC and Virginia and my wife really liked the area around Winchester. We are going out in September to look further and make our decision. We plan to move around March-June time frame. I took a liking to the Winchester as well and it has the added bonus of being so close to Carlisle. MONTE NEEDS A NEW HOME!!!

If you can find those pics that would be nice. I'd like to hold a bigger bottle of water.

I've seen chrome ones as well as the silver. IMHO I think the chrome ones are a bit much.

I got this from OPGI. it fits in your ash tray when you take out the insert. the only draw back is it only fits small items like bottled water. (which is all I allow in the car anyway).

kpcsgasp replied to Rob Peters's topic in FGMCC Annual Eastern Meet
Wish I could be there. Hopefully if I get moved in time I will be there next year. Still lots of shows here in Alaska coming up this year. Please post lots of pictures.
