  1. I'll ride in the trunk for extra down force on the rear tires
  2. How much would a 240lb passenger slow you down?
  3. Nice Davey!! What does that roughly make your 1/4 time?
  4. Glad to hear you guys are gonna make Tim. Look forward to chatting with you again.
  5. This guy probably uses the metal cowl to make them and charges an arm & leg for the work. Why else be so secretive...?
  6. programmer for changing tuning parameters and a cold air intake
  7. Diablo programmer and CAI for the new GMC
  8. I have heard of a SB 454, Mostly stroke I think though.
  9. You pulled it off pretty good Rodney. You did a lot of work in those 96 hours, I was impressed. I will let you drive mine, one rule though---You break it, you fix it.
  10. I know I can't wait!!
  11. Looks like you had daylight under the tires Nice!!
  12. you go
  13. I know guys that run TH350's behind 800hp and they beat the crap out of them. It is all in the pieces parts used. The guy that built my 700 built those 350's and he recommends a 350 up to 700-800hp. Are you thinking your 700 won't hold up?
  14. wow, a 3k non-lockup, what kind of rear gears do you have?
  15. This is gonna be fun!!
  16. Sweet, come on up!!
  17. I would say the 3.55 with the 700. the 3.73 with the 2500 and low 1st in the 700 would not work well together IMO. I went with 3.42, 1900 and a 700 and I am pretty happy with the outcome.
  18. For me, no. There are other cars out there I would look at. There is a running SS in our for sale forum that is around 9k, much better option IMO if you have the $$$ here
  19. Some SS info here.
  20. There is nothing special about the VIN either, no way to tell it is an SS from the VIN unfortunately. There may be some of the other SS goodies present: shock protectors, larger stabilizer bars, boxed control arms and though not limited to SS cars you may find some air ride components. Hard to say on value, really depends on condition and what all is still with the car.
  21. I would say mathing #'s implies all original drivetrain included. I have seen someone say "engine is # matching" which means to me original tranny & rear have been swapped. I would say a documented SS shell is worth more than a non-SS shell. You can still put a period/date correct drivetrain in.
  22. Not a bad price on the master kit option either. linky
  23. My 70SS, plus me, plus 1/2 tank of fuel, minus A/C is 3960lbs
  24. I'm there barring unforeseen obstacles. A well organized and ran meet IMO. The free camping right where the show is is pretty cool too.
