Mark, Get one of each (if you have the space) and let us know what you think. The 4 post is great for storage and basic maintainance. If you’re taking wheels off or doing suspension work, definitely a 2 post. The 2 post is more work to use, but more versatile as Joe T has shown by hanging motorcycles and other items off of it for repairs or maintainance.

Back in my younger days, an ax was fine to split wood. Once you get a bit more experienced, a log splitter is definitely the way to go. You can control the sizes you split for your stacking or storage pleasure. The small scraps that are made from it are great kindling too. I use to have a multi fuel boiler in my home, which provided my heat and 76 gallons of domestic hot water. I used wood consistently in the late Fall, Winter and early Spring once it got below 40 degrees to minimize the creosote. I used oil for fuel during the rest of the year for minimal heat and hot water. I use to split and average between 4-6 cords depending on the outside ambient temperature. A friend of mine that owns a tree service was always happy to drop a load of wood cut to size for me so I didn’t have to pay for my fuel, only to split and stack it. And yes Ron, I agree that there is nothing like the heat that wood produces.

No snow plow attachment for your winter bike? I’m sure you would get plenty of exercise and use out of it.

Happy Hanukkah to our members of the Jewish faith. Enjoy !!!

Great news Aaron. Glad to hear you engine is good to rebuild and going with a roller cam vs flat tappet is a very wise decision. Way too many issues with the metal cores are using for flat tappet camshafts, destroying brand new and rebuilt motors. Enjoy the process !!!

All the men in the Club should have a PSA test with their yearly physical exam. It’s a simple blood test. If you have an Aflac cancer insurance policy, you can forward the PSA test results to them and they will mail you a check for $75.00. If you’re not going for a yearly physical exam and PSA, it’s time to get one now. The life you save will be your own.

Welcome John and thank you for becoming a dues paying member. You have come to the right place and hope you like what you see on this Club website. Plenty of awesome people and great info here. We hope you will join us at one of our Club events. A excellent way to see First Generation Montes and meet some of the people you may see online and meet other fellow Club members. Good luck with the hunt for your Monte and enjoy the First Generation Monte Carlo Club !!! -

Occasionally you will see them on EBay. They are not being reproduced. Make sure there are 2 lenses within each of them, not 3. Some of the GM fender lenses have 3 lenses within them and are not the correct ones your Monte.

Thanks for the info Steve. We buy our 3 day passes on the day we arrive, at the Host hotel. The group that runs the show (used to be Right Coast) has a no refund policy for any reason. Unfortunately life can change or sometimes get in the way, between now and the show dates. Because of their no refund policy, we now purchase them when we get there.

What did you do to your Monte Carlo today?

I finally got out with my Monte to meet some of the “NY Sopranos and Friends’’ at a local Cars and Coffee cruise in this morning. It’s been 9 weeks since we were last out for this weekly gathering wIth it raining for the last 8 weekends. It was great to see everyone and let the Monte stretch its legs. A nice way to start my day !! -
If you use AC-Delco replacement parts for your Monte, take a look at the part listing. There are usually 3 parts listed for each item which you can order, and where it was manufactured. Made in China, Mexico or the USA. You have to specify which one you want with different prices depending on where it was made. I found this out when I recently ordered a AC-Delco horn relay.
