Went and picked up my front and rear fender extensions today. I installed the rears. As soon as I get the fronts on. Dave my painter will come over with his mini buffer and buff the pieces. Also installed some LED's in the gauge cluster. Also installed a really nice used printed circuit board that I received from Bob Wiemels.

I received a really nude used circuit board from Bob Wiemels today. Thank you Bob. This is such a Awesome club, that we all help each other out like we do.

I'm gonna be following your posts to Sam. I find this stuff very interesting. When I go and do my big block I'm gonna be calling on you for advice and tips. Be prepared.

Well. I only put 5 leds in. The sockets they sent me don't fit the cluster housing. So I ended up puting most of the old lights back in. Bob Wiemels is sending me his old one to try.

Change to LEDs. Could this be the reason why they are not lighting up?

Yeah. I've been to his shop. He's only about 2 hours away

I received my plastic clips in the mail for the lower rocker trim and also the LED 194 replacement bulbs for the dash today. Looking forward to installing this stuff this weekend.

Once I get it back on the ground and outside to see how far off. I can adjust them. I have plenty of trim clips. Lol

I ordered some trim clips for some of my lower front fender trim. Order the clips from Clips and Fasteners. Also ordered some LED 194 bulb kit off of ebay for the dash.

Glen. I would like to brighten up my gage cluster. Is that bulb preset number what everyone uses. I'm getting to replace my speedometer and while I have the dash apart would like to change out the bulbs in the dash to brighter ones.

I asked the same question on where this is. I am told its in the rear where it tees off to both rear brakes. I know I don't have this I my 70. I just have the rubber hose with the brass Tee for both brake lines going to the drums. Unless someone removed it before my ownership.

Dang. Wish I would of seen this post sooner. I bought 2 boxes of those screw in molding rivits I would of sent to someone for free.

I was gonna paint the rockets black but thought that blue looks good down there.

I thought I would add some more pictures to my part here. I'm still waiting on the front and rear fender extensions to be repainted. But I installed my door trim on both sides today. Installed the passenger door weather stripping. Also cleaned up the front bumper filler piece and just painted it a GM Silver,. I wasn't going to drive around and try to find that Argent Silver color. I need to order some fender trim clips for the front two trim pieces.

Yes.I know. I'm not fussing about it. I have plenty of time. He knew what he did. I just wish he would of warned me what happen instead of finding out after they where installed. I should see them in a few weeks.

If you could see it in person. The metallic is more spread out on the car. Then on the extensions. I didn't realize a different gun would cause a different effect. Dave should of known in my opinion. Since he has been doing this for almost 30 years.

The pieces are back out at the body shop to get re sprayed. I told Dave he could just re shoot the whole car to match the extensions.

Had a little set back today. I picked up my fender extensions Friday. I put on the front extensions and noticed they were brighter than the car. Called Dave my painter . He said he used a different spray gun cause the one he used on my car was acting up. He said he thought they were brighter to. Do I just dropped them back off to him. Can your see the difference?
