    Lost E Mails

Yes I am using the same email address on my new PC. So far as the stuck in Word I need to ask him more questions. He said the emails pop up while in Word and not in his email account. I need more info from him. I'm in AT&T now and not in Comcast. Nice picture of your engine compartment. Thanks

    Lost E Mails

Thanks Allen. I'm Vista now and XP before. I'm not sure what my Brother has, probability XP. I'll find out tonight. My new e mail is yahoo. Don't remember what my old one was. He said the e mail is was about to send was thru Outlook Express and all my e mails are stuck in the Word page. Does that make sense? Thanks for the help and if you don't mind try to stay with me on this. I always save too many e mails but I have a lot of the grandchildren pictures that I hate to lose. Carl

    Lost E Mails

I need help. I gave my brother my old computer a year ago. He was never on the internet with it, just used Word to write a book. Long story. He is signed up with Comcast for internet service now. He went to send some pages thur Word and all of a sudden he got all my saved e mails from my inbox with my e mail address. I guess that is because it was my old PC. Should of used a sledge hammer on it. It gets better. My PC was off and when I turned it on I had trouble getting into my mail. Finally I did and all of my saved email were gone. What can I do and what can he do to turn this back around. I'm clue'less. Carl Hanson Connecticut

    site issues

I have Windows Vista. I have to wait for the message board to open most of the time. Maybe some stuff should cleared out of the web site. What the heck do I know about computers. I'm 63 and still learning. My problem is remembering what I learn. Carl Connecticut
  5. Why would the guards be different?
  6. I think you flip it. There is a different thickness on each side.I could be wrong. I think that is the case with the repro mirrors.
  7. Don't ever use Brake Clean near it. I had a power steering pump housing done and I went to clean the inside out with brake clean. It made a mess out of the outside where the powder coat was.
  8. Craig. Thanks for the info. You have always been a great help over the years. How does your Monte run with this combo? What gears are you running? Is your engine a 350? The Monte I'm doing is a plain Jane. I always wanted a Monte for everyday. I bought a 70 & 72 quite a few years ago. Finally working on the 70. It's a 350 crate replacement engine and has 2:73 rear. My Black 71 Monte has been done for 16 years and been holding up very well. Thanks again. If I need help i will e mail you.
  9. Everyone must be working on their Montes.
  10. Has anyone installed this OD Tranny on their small block engines. I have one and I'm thinking of doing this. Info would be great to find out I'm instored for.
  11. Thanks Guys. You saved me a lot of time looking for mine. Buy the way Gates are the best hoses and belts to use.
  12. Does anyone have a upper & lower radiator hose they can measure for me. I need the OD outside diameter of each hose> If I remember the two are different. I want to get the wire type hose clamps. I need to order them buy the box. If anyone has those clamps laying around measure the inner diameter for me. Thanks
  13. Did you find that belt yet? if not let me know. I have a lot of them. I'm a power seat nut. All my cars have power seats. I'm even installing a power seat track on my passenger bucket in my 71 Monte. E mail me at MC7187@sbcglobal.net
  14. I have a new rebuilt TCI Tranny part #TCI-311000. I want to run a stock torque converter. Is this OK with this tranny? Also they say it should have a Tranny Cooler. Has anyone used this tranny? Its going behind a stock new 350. Do I really need this cooler? I bought this trans from my neighbor for $200.00. He never used it. Thanks Carl
  15. Try using your finger. With a little pressure on the headliner you should be able to feel the indention for the screw.
  16. It's a tight fit. Drop a little bit of WD 40 and it should come out.
  17. Is the number #1403?
  18. Where are you putting the straight edge to get you mesurement? This might be the 1/2" difference.
  19. Come on guys. This is easy stuff. The paint is Krylon. Dull Aluminum #1403. Look in the phone book for a paint supplier who sells Sherwin Williams paint for houses. Home depot used to carry it but does not any more. The cost is about $2.50 a can. Try the Internet for a dealer near you. Also the paint with the green tint is also available. The right color is Argent Silver.
  20. Homedepot paint stick used for mixing paint works great. Just cut a pc about 2" long and tap it with a hammer. Works great.
  21. Do you have the GM part number for that box. I used one out of a 87 SS. You are going to be happy with the way your Monte will handle. I did this swap so if you have any questions I will be happy to help.
  22. How could you compare a RICE part to a part made in the good USA. If your car is a daily driver I would forgive you. But if it's a show car then shame on you. Only kidding. But you do get my point.
  23. I guess Chevelles don't use that battery support. Is that correct or did you just elimate yours. Our did it not fit because of the steel wheel housings. Get back to me on that. I was hoping to corner the market on these babys. By the way the one OPG sells is garbage. Mine will be made in the good USA.
  24. Thanks for the offer George, I just happen to have a NOS still in the box. Dave I guess you would need 3 of them. I can't promise them right of way but I'll try my best. I'm retired but I do a lot of heating and AC jobs on my own. Planning to take July and August off to catch up on my own projects. Also thanks to Rob for those kind words.
  25. Yes you are missing the bracket. If your wheel housing has a big hole in it where the bracket should go you have a problem. The bracket looks like an angle with one end closed. One bolt goes to the bottom of the tray and two bolts go to the plastic housing. I might be able to make one for you. I'm the TIN MAN on the list.
