I’m not planning on taking it off. Trying to figure a way to maybe install gas struts. Need the weight to proceed with a purchase of the struts.

I have changed every wire harness over the years in my 71. I used AA OEM replacements. Perfect fit but no directions. These are really easy to install. The bottom line is our cars are over 50 years old. So are the wires.🔥

You can get the 1 3/4” ID on Amazon. Search AA black flex battery vent hose tubing. It’s a 3’ pc at $14.99. Go with the one NPD sells. They sent me the 3” ID that didn’t fit. I called them and told them it was wrong. They said keep it and I asked for 3 1/4” ID they sent 3 1/8. It was tight getting it on but I made it work. Hope the pictures help. Buy the 1 3/4” right a way because I think they will be going fast.

I only bought the larger one from them because this stuff is so expensive. The 3 1/8 will work, but its tight. If your dash is out put it on the duct deflector first. Maybe they are selling those sizes to fit their repro crap. Do you have the original ones. Ill post pictures tonight. I don’t remember where i got the 1 3/4. Might be amazon

Okay this is what you need. 3 1/4 ID 24” long 1 3/4 ID 5” long 1 3/4 ID 12 1/2 long These are the stock measurements. You can find all these at NPD web site. One thing you need to remember is that they say 3” ID is correct. no it’s not call you order in and ask for 3” 1/4. They do sell the 3 1/4 in a 36” length. It is still a little tight but it will go. I know because it happen to me. Search for Heater Hose and Defroster. Let me know you make out.

Anyone ever bought the repro foams for the back seat of our Monte Carlo’s. I need to know the thickness and maybe the density, medium or high?

Does anyone have a parts car or old picture of the inside roof with the headliner removed. I need a picture at the rear back window where the headliner connects to the wind lace molding. I need to drill some holes and don’t want to go through the roof. Thanks 🫣

I’m doing a modern type headliner. ABS black plastic then a glue on foam with fabric. I did figure out the dome light location. It is center of the console and not the rear view mirror. I will do that screw thing that you mentioned. Thanks

Can someone check to see if the dome light is on center of the rear view mirror? Mine is off center and I’m changing my headliner.
