you could go to a transmission shop to see if they had what you are looking for.

all of them i ever saw are metal. maybe the heat distorted the plastic. go to a junk yard and find a metal one that is what i would do. no plastic.

a friend of mine has a 1970 mc ss all original triple black car with a sticker on the drivers side 1/4 glass wich states it was a executive car. that is one of the reasons he bought it. when i get together with him i will take a picture of this and post it. not till spring. great story. thanks joseph.

i went to grainger and found these . a steel clamp with a rubber wrap around. the part # is 1bae3. you have to buy a 10 pack. they fit loose so when the hose expands it will be snug. i hope to find the correct one someday.

the one on my 1970 ss has the long piece over the manifold with a piece on it for a round flexible hose to the air cleaner. my friend might have one from a 1970 bbc for sale ?

you need to find a auto paint supplier. what you are looking for is called SEM COLOR COAT.THIS IS FOR THE INTERIOR ONLY. any color you want.16.00 a can. dries very fast. don't use over 50% humidity.

rust is always a problem. get it tested or purchace a new one. there is a date code on it if it original.

i had a 3 core in my van nuys car with air. i put in a 4 core and it runs cooler now. i do not have the tab on the support.

is there anyone in the club with this california option on there car ?. i'm restoring mine right now. i was wondering how many came out of the van nuys plant in late 69 or 1970 or was this only plant to put this option on. thanks joseph

hello all, i'm looking for a video about a 1970 monte carlo running after 20 years. it did not have a body on the chassis. i thought he was a member here. i did a search on you tube where i saw it . i thought i saw it posted here. does anyone remember this ? thanks joseph.

i have a original ls-5 in my car with a lo rise stock manifold.i put on a edelbrock performer intake #2161 dual plane aluminum spread bore oval port to replace my original one. i used my quadrajet carb and linkage. i had to buy a edelbrock #1935 choke kit wich bolts to the manifold. i also put on a k&n 60-1430 air filter. its 14 inches round 31/2 tall.
with a 3 '' AIR FILTER. IT HAS A 7/8 DROP BASE. I COULD CLOSE THE HOOD WITH NO PROBLEMS .I SWITHCED BACK TO THE STOCK SET UP LO RISE MANIFOLD. i was told the h.p. could increase 25 h.p. ? i also have a set of hooker headers # 2455-1 hkr competition.ceramic coated ,tube dia. 2 "" collector size 3.5 from my 454. i also have the reducers. some of the bottom of the header tubes are bent and scratched
do some research. if you are interested i want to sell the whole set up. it is very clean. i can send you some pics if you send me your email. thanks joseph

hello all,
i thought i had 2.73 gears ? in my 1970 ss. i put in 3.73 ( like most chevelles ) i run at 60 mph and the tach is 3,000 . it sounds great and the stock cam is by the power curve . i have b p goodrich p225/70r15 m+s tires on the stock rims. the last time i went 70 mph i want to say the tach was almost 3600 to 4000 rpm. i think if you put in a 700r4 the rpm goes down 1,000 rpm ?. i want to keep mine all stock looking so i have the turbo 400.

yes all the fibre optics work. i think it was a 1970 option only.
