Some put them in the glove box. I personally put mine on the fender well by the battery under the fender. Basically where the wires for the front turnsignal goes through the fender well. Tucked out of the way and still accessable.
Thanks for the info, I think I'm going to install the box in the same place as you.

I just purchase a new Msd 6al-2 and i'm wondering where people have mounted there box. I kinda want it hiding. I have a 402 and AC as well so that kinda takes up a lot room.

I'm installing new heater hose's in my 1970 402, I have my factory Control Valve Heater but I don't know where to bolt/install it, same with the hose clamps. I know one clamp goes on the alternator bracket. I was hoping someone has pic's I can go off of. ( I have new ABS inner fender wells)

I’m looking to replace my cracked up windshield. My windshield is clear with a blue tint on top. I can’t find a clear with blue tint on top, all I can find is green tinted with blue on top. Does anyone know where I can find a clear windshield with blue on top.

The weather outside is getting nice, I know someone with a 1970 monte can go outside and take some pic’s on the grounding straps location for me . Please thanks

I have run both the petronix and the msd distributor. Both with great success. It pretty much depends on the look you are going for. The pertronix for a more stock look. Due to using the stock distributor housing. The msd with a hidden 6AL box is almost foolproof. If you are on a budget, the petronix.
Thanks for the info. I think I may go with Pertronix for now to save money.

My 402 needs new points in the distributor. I wanna go away from the old points, I was looking into the PERTRONIX electronic ignition and new coil. But for around the same price I can get a Msd HEI street fire distributor. What would be the best option for reliability and performance?

Thank you guys for the great info and pic on how to install the guards on the bumpers.

I'm looking to purchase a new front bumper, but my Monte came with bumper guards. It seems like all the new bumpers don't have holes for the guards. I don't wanna drill into a new bumper, does anyone know if theirs a place that sell a new bumpers with the holes already drilled in?

I'm looking to see if my Monte is matching numbers, but there is no Vin on the front of the motor. Only Engine assembly stamp with a few number followed by CKN nothing after that. Does any1 have ideas. Maybe They didn't stamp 1970 402 vins of the front? any idea?
My car is a 1970 Monte 402/400 Flint Michigan built, so there are no build sheets.
