It does help and then the ACC carpet with the mass backing really helped. We had to have the stereo set at about 22 on the volume before and now we set it at 9 to 11 and have a normal voiced conversation plus it has cooled the floor down so much that I can drive barefoot.

    Is this still around? I recently bought a 1971 running project that has zero carpet in and I'm concerned for the noise having a 5yr. It's got a V8 SBC with headers , Cam, and super 40s flow masters. I'm wanting to put on floors under carpet! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (what to buy and were to buy)?
