It is 35MM film. after i picked up the kits I searched for projectors with the same name of the company that produced the kits for Chevrolet. after that, a little more searching brought to this unit.
it's a manual film advanced. if you listen closely, you can hear a low beep that signals you to advance the film to the next picture.
All this because my MC is in hibernation until Spring and i don't want to paint the living room!

I picked up some original Chevrolet Dealer training kits. one of the kits i have is for the introduction of the 1970 MC. just having this kit wasn't good enough...i wanted to see and hear it. So I hunted down one of the old Projectors used by the dealerships. The projector has a record player built in and the film advances manually. i used my cell phone and recorded the film and audio. i uploaded it to YouTube (first for me). The link to the film is below. Enjoy

Welcome to the club. Yes the gentleman's daughter had 3 Montes all the same color. 2 - SS and 1 other. Congratulations on a great looking Monte. Love that color
Well that explains one of the pictures in the glove box. i knew of the 2 and was told they were "his and hers". nothing about a third so i didn't know what to think. i sure didn't think someone would have 3 identical cars.🤔

thank you all for the great welcome!
i've been at the GM show in Carlisle for the past few years with another car. i have to say it was seeing this group here and the others with first gens at Carlisle that gave me the bug to get one. It took a few years (and a kitchen remodel) before i got it...but i finally did!

Hello, I just picked up a 1970 SS. Black Cherry with black vinyl top and black interior. Overall very clean but not perfect....and 8-track works!
It only took a couple hours reviewing the content on this site and the forum before joining as a dues paying member.
I'm new to the club but is my car? The car came out of an estate; along with another 1970 SS; almost identical to the one I purchased. Below is a picture of mine. Not a lot of info on the car. The previous owner, I believe located in central Pennsylvania region, had the car from 1990. no paperwork came with the car except some old pictures from the early 90's and a First Generation Monte Carlo Club card. The card has a Leechburg, PA address. So maybe the car was in the club before.
If the previous owner was from central PA I wouldn’t be surprised if it attended one of the eastern meets. I'm looking forward to next years meet in Carlisle.

I only have about 8 of the training kits; i'm still trying to get my head around how you store all those kits from 1930's to 1973😄. that's awesome!
