Found this diagram in the Assembly manual (lower left corner show 6 wires) con't find the wiring diagram at this point. Each connector is keyed to only connect at the proper location.....good luck!

Wheel,
Here is a page from the 1970 Monte Carlo Wiring Diagram Manual that shows the neutral safety switch on the left side of the page about in the middle vertically. Note that the two wires are purple and purple with a dark blue stripe and they attach differently for an automatic transmission car versus a manual transmission car. It appears that the middle pair of connectors are the correct location for the neutral safety switch wires for an automatic transmission car.
BTW, I can send you all 14 pages of the wiring diagram manual as jpg files that you can print full page size. Just let me know what email address to use if you want me to send them.
Thanks.. you already send me those but they're really hard to read.... Old age comes with defects hahahaha. They will come in handy rewiring the dash i hope... Need to get out those binoculars....

You must have a 1972? The two purple wires are for the neutral safety switch. The green and pink or dark green and light green are the reverse light wires. The next two are pink if I remember correctly. They are for the fasten seat belt function/ seat belt warning.
Yeah the drawing shows realred posted showed it clearly... AT A BRAVE MOMENT I TORE THE WHOLE WIRING LOOM OUT... silly me...

The switch has like 6 "poles" on it. 2 are for neutral safety, 2 for back up. and 2 for ???, I thought it woild be fairly simple to replace the connectors with loose wires... It isn't.

Can someone tell me which wire goes where on the neutral safety switch???
Regards Wheel..

Wheel, I bet they just love to here those side pipes when you start her up to go somewhere! Looking good from here! Must be glad it's "back on the road again" ( song from REO speed wagon). That was a name of a car too!! The wife just enlightened me!! That's what I like about her. I can't wait to get mine out soon. Going to be putting on some exhaust cut-outs on it this year. OH Yeah!!
Well let me tell you they are straight open from headers to tips. Hehehe.... I have to idle it out of my neighborhood not to mess with the people around me to much...
