  1. Coby, you did get a significant lift out of those air lift bags at 35 psi but is the ride firmness acceptable to you?  Maybe it is or maybe you carry heavy trunk loads or rear passengers. If not, you can probably back off on the pressure and still get some noticeable lift of the rear as the relationship seems not to be directly linear.

I initially ran mine at 25 psi to get more rake but I soon grew tired of the very firm ride.  I dropped mine to 15 psi and installed a Hellwig rear sway bar which helped with launch and cornering but allowed a more moderate lift and ride comfort level. As you know, it's easy to play around with it by simply adjusting the air pressure.

Dennis, you're right at 35 psi the ride is much too firm, if I drive over a curb my body almost bounces off the seat but I do really like the look of the extra 2" on the rear. Also, I noticed before and after I the install that my passenger side is almost 1" lower than the driver side so I'm hoping I can manipulate the bags to level things out. I haven't had the chance to play around with the pressure yet as I basically did the install, took pictures/measurements, then left for work and haven't got back to it yet. Darren installed a rear sway bar on the car prior to me buying it from him. Thanks for the input! It's almost time to put the car in storage for the winter but I think I'll try 15 psi as you mentioned and see how I like it.

  2. The AC Delco looks the same as the one I took off. I looked up the Napa drier I had online and it should be the right one, same part # as a 70 Chevelle too but it would not seal for me. I think I'll give the AC Delco a try, thanks guys.

  3. I swapped out the A/C compressor on my Monte last night and replaced the condenser drier also with a Napa part# A8300 and didn't have much luck with the drier, the threads on the inlet side of the drier were slightly longer than the threads on the one I took off and therefore the o-ring on the inlet side would not compress and seal when I went to recharge with R134.

There's no part number on the drier I removed so just wondering if anyone else has run it to this problem and what driers other people have used and where they got them?

    Thanks,

    Coby
