[Brakes and front end rebuild]

Hello Everyone,

 

I've learned a lot coming here, but I need some more info.  Did First Gen MC's come with front drum brakes or were they all disk?  Secondly, I will need to order a front end rebuild kit.  I see there are two options, round and oval.  What parts do I need to look at to determine if they are oval or round?  I thought I heard the lower rear control arm.  Is this correct?

Hello Everyone!

 

I just bought a 71 Monte parts car.  I'm picking it up in a week.  It has a 12 bolt rear end and the guy that sold it to me said it was a 3.31 posi.  He told me that Monte's didn't come with a 12 bolt that wasn't posi.  I find this hard to believe.  Does anyone have any information to back this up or disprove it?  I'm hoping it is a posi rear end, but haven't tested it.
