  1. I'd have to vote for the kit that Dave had installed in his Chevelle,it looks really good in the pictures and he seems to be very happy with it. I'm sure that you could have the same kit shipped to you and have a local shop weld it in. Just my two cents. Tom

  2. Well I guess that I have another question. This question has to do with my gas tank and gas cap. I removed my gas tank several years back and had a sump welded on the tank so I could run a bigger fuel line. When I reinstalled the tank I disconnected and plugged all the stock lines going into the tank. I think there is one line on each side and three in the middle. I wasn’t too worried about a vent because the gas cap that I’ve been using is a loose fitting locking type that came with the car. Well I want to switch over to a tighter fitting cap because if I get the tank too full now gas leaks out around the cap when accelerating. I ended up getting a gas cap a while back off eBay it’s a Stant G 807 I’m not sure if I need to vent the tank now to use this cap. The cap says on it Pressure and Vacuum so I think that it’s a sealed one. When I search it on the Stant’s web site I can’t get anything to come up maybe because it’s so old. Sorry for being so long winded. Tom

  3. Dave I'm just kidding you because it's become such a hot topic. I wouldn't weld it and I don't think that you should either unless the guys at tech make you change it. I personally really like the way you have it now and would hate to have you change it if it's not necessary. frown Tom

  4. Wow David your really making some changes. It just dawned on me that your talking about racing in the NA smallblock class instead of daily driver for Dragweek. Man that should be a lot of fun just trying to run as fast as you can at each track!!! Alright I'm now officially jealous.

  5. I'm pretty sure that the swing out side bars are legal down to probably at least 10.00 anything in the 9's requires a whole lot more safety stuff. I think that the only thing that might be a issue is the removable rear bar. I hope that it's legal because I really like the idea.

  6. I've never seen the removable bar that runs behind the seats but what a great idea. I also like the swing out side bars and the ones that go back to the trunk look really good. I vote for a job well done. Tom smile

  7. I was out trying out my nitrous tonight and the temperature here is only in the upper 40's I have a pressure gauge on the bottle and the pressure was only a little over 600psi. I know that optimum pressure should be 900psi.Lower bottle pressures cause the system to run rich, too much gas and not enough nitrous. You can get a electric wrap that heats up the bottle and raises the pressure. The question that I have is as the bottle gets empty can you still get 900psi by warming it up?

  8. If you end up keeping your vacuum secondary carb maybe you can install one of Holly's quick change secondary spring kits. I put one on my Holly 750 vs carb and changing to the lighter springs really makes a difference. But I also want to try a 4150 dp someday. Tom

  9. I took these at the races this summer. The owner decided last minute to bring this newly built Monte to the track when his other car broke. In the first pictures you can see water under the car. When he was driving it up to the staging lanes it over heated because he had a mix up with the switches and didn’t turn on the electric water pump. The problems went from bad to worse when he finally ran down the track. Half way down the track he had a major engine problem and leaked a bunch of oil down the track. You can see the oil dry behind the car on the last picture. Still a real cool Monte.IMGP0957.jpgIMGP0959.jpgIMG_1932-1.jpg
