Cory No pics at this time.Let's see some pics of what your dealing with Rodney.Originally Posted By: black07ssThe side pieces Rodney? It's the part that's under the hood by the windshield. I bought some grilles that fit over the three spaces. I thought my windshield was leaking but when I had it removed there was no rot in the channel. The water was coming in through the cowl area. Here a link to what I am talking about Cowl. Mine is leaking within the three openings. -
My lower cowl area is weak in a couple spots. The area down inside where the vents cover. Is there a way to fix this without replacing the whole cowl? Thanks... Rodney

Caught a great deal on some POR-15 product. This guy had it all for sale for $100 on the local Craigslist. Six 14 oz cans of Chassis Coat Semi-Gloss Black, one quart of Solvent, two quarts of Prep & Ready, and one gallon of Marine Clean. Great deal!! Can't wait to use it one day.

Congrats on the find!!

That's exactly what I used in my 72 (4 core). I had no issues with fit and it seriously helps with the cooling. That is an awesome price too.
Thanks for the confirmation!!

Sounds like you got a great bargain, Rodney!
Thanks!! It's always great to get to catch a great deal. I'm glad I waited before getting the original fixed. I was about to pay $357

Took the radiator to a local shop(Klein Radiators). Had it pressure tested and he found a very small leak and repaired it. Flushed, cleaned, and repaired $25. He said it had been recored before and that it was a high quality radiator. He also said it was well worth the $100 I spent and it will outlast the car. Good deal considering they wanted twice that or more to repair my original.
-
Rodney,
I would take it to a radiator shop and have it pressure tested and checked out before installing.
Will do Mike!
-
Rodney - from the photos it looks like it's the same height & width. If it is, all you would need is to replace the rubber radiator insulators (the rubber cushions top and bottom) with those made for a 4-core.

I came across a 4 core radiator and it is really thick and heavy. Do you all think it will fit? Will I have to do any modifications. The guy I got it from said it was from a 71 Chevelle. Here are some pics.

Man that's a lot of change right there!! Very nice though!!
