  1. Larry I can't find the schematic or my notes anywhere. I did this about 4 years ago and can't remember where I put them so I wouldn't lose them. I do know the orange wire Peter is talking about has a free connector under the center of dash around radio and heat controls. I think the gray wire is under there too. The neutral safety switch and reverse switch wiring I pulled from the column and extended with the same color wires down to the console with a new switch on the floor shifter. I'll keep looking but hopefully someone else can give you some more info. Sorry bud.

  2. I just extended the wires when I switched to the neutral switch on the console shifter. Much safer when the car won't start in any gear, like when I was still using the column switch with the console shifter. Ran them down the firewall and under the carpet. I'll look and see if I still have the wiring schematic. I don't remember if I had the plug or not. I did make my own harness though, I remember that.

  3. Great looking kids Tony. You're right about time flying, seems like you blink and they are out of school. Seems like just yesterday we were doing kindergarten thing and now the last one will be a high school senior next year.

  4. Unfortunatly I don't think anyone makes a 2 series carrier any more. Which means you would have to change gears also, I think 3.08 is the highest available for the 12 bolt. Consensus seems to be that the 3.31's are the best all around choice for a driver. I believe you can go as low as a 3.90, but that is pretty much short trips or track only, you'll be turning a lot of rpm's. Lube capacity is just over 2 quarts but that includes what is in the axle tubes which never drains. When changing it you'll put in just under 2 quarts. Drive it around with a few left and right turns then recheck it.

  5. It's possible you have a bad water pump also if your not seeing any water flow. Stupid question, but I am a mechanic and have seen it happen to the best, you didn't leave a rag or plug in any of the coolant passages did you ?
