**BUMP** for which radiator to order (of the two above mainly) and if I should pull my AC condensor?

I just don't think the 3 core would be necessary on my stock engine. I'd rather save the $ and have a direct fit anyways.

    Coolant Leak

Sorry for a delay in response, my friend is visiting from out China (getting his masters over there!) Anyways, the clamp couldn't be tightened so I will be going with the original plan of new rad+hose. Thanks Darren I will look into American Eagle Radiator Company and Champion Radiators. QUESTIONS: What are the two metal hoses above the lower rad hose? Tranny/oil coolers or what? It seems the 3 rows are for 1000+ HP so kinda overkill for my stock setup. Ill probably stick with the 2row -Mark

No! Why would I go and do something smart like that!

    Coolant Leak

OK fellas. So it is definitely coming from where the lower hose meets the radiator (not where hose meets water pump). I figure taking into consideration the age of the car I will just replace the lower hose and the radiator. I would like a direct fit radiator. Any recommendations? There are so many different rows, thicknesses, cores. I usually use summit or autozone, but anything that you guys recommend I would consider. The car used to have a/c but it didn't work so I pulled it. Can I/should I also pull the AC condenser while I'm in there? -Mark

    Coolant Leak

thanks for all the ideas guys, i will probably tackle it next weekend, as I start a new job this monday
  8. Just looking for some advice and tips before I tackle this job. I'm leaking coolant from in front of the passenger wheel. Before I even start taking stuff off can anyone suggest places to look? Known failure points? (thats the front passenger wheel) Thanks in advance for any advice, Mark Gombos
  9. oh, wow! has anyone here fixed the issue on thier car?
  10. All really awesome suggestions, thanks guys! My tires are new but I will downsize next time around.
  11. So true! I'm used to driving my little rice rocket that I can boot around and still get 25 MPG. But going with what wallaby said, I wouldn't want to lower my foot pressure and not have enough gas to pass a truck! My first car was an '01 Crown Vic (FI 4.6L V8) that I got about 12MPG on. So maybe it is just me! What else can I do to improve mileage? -Mark
  12. its an edelbrock 4bbl (PO installed), I was hoping to save some gas by lowering the fuel pressure. I'm only getting about 9MPG right now.
  13. I will definitely be raising my idle speed. How can I measure the RPM's without a tach? The alternator is an internal regulated type. My voltmeter tells me its around 14 point something during charging. What is a stock pulley diameter? I'll have to measure mine. I'm curious about different bulbs drawing less power. Maybe I can upgrade. -Mark
  14. My headlight actually don't dim, they get brighter when I give it gas. Is this normal for an older electrical system or is something wrong? If something is wrong how do I troubleshoot it? If it is normal is there anything I can do to minimize it? Alternator replaced recently. Large sound system in car. -Mark
  15. Thanks Darren, seems like Im set up pretty well. Happy new year to you as well, I hope 2013it brings you a happy and very healthy year. -Mark
  16. What is the proper fuel pressure? The PO put a gauge on the fuel line and it shows 7. Too high/low or good? -Mark
  17. The center bore on these wheels are 3.3. Does anyone know what the center bore on our hubs are? -Mark
  18. Even if it hubcentric, couldn't it be the wrong center bore? IE: too big
  19. The guys who balance my wheels say that I need to buy hub centric rings. Can anyone direct me to a proper size? These are the wheels I have: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/crr-3425834/overview/ Thanks, Mark
  20. should i just check out autozone or summit?
  21. How hard would it be to ad one? I know we have the dummy gauge but I would like something more reliable. Maybe an amp-meter also. Anything to help keep tabs on the engine. Doesn't have to be stock. -Mark
  22. I let out all the air in the rear and it closed the gap a lil bit. I think I'm going to leave it like that.... Although an all terrain monte would be pretty sweet! -Mark Ill get a pic ASAP
  23. i have air shocks so i can lower it easily just to see how it would look. How many inches lower should i try? -Mark
