Im not sure if there was one there. I would like to think I would have noticed but not 100% sure.

There is a male inlet right dead center from of my Edelbroch 750 carb. There is no hose going to it. It's sucking in air very badly. Should this hose be capped ? Its very loud also and if You put your finger up to it it will suck Your finger right up to it.

Thats guys....the bad part is I have no speakers...lol

What are you all running for mufflers ?
Has anyone ran the Spintech super pro streets ?
I just ran 3" with 2 Chamber 40 series flowmasters and im not happy with the sound. IM thinking of switching to the spintech super pro streets.

What year El Camino springs are we talking about 1970 or what?
I ordered 70-72 El-Camino
-
With the El Camino spring how much more are your shocks extended?
I honestly dont know because I had them installed. I will say the car drives really nice and handles bumps very well.
-
How much stiffer is the ride with the camino springs?
I can only go by what was in the car when I got it ( 40 Yr old orginal )but I really like the ride it gives now. I also upgraded my shocks at the same time.
-
Here is mine before and after the el camino springs. Before I have 235/70/15 on rear and after I got 275/60/15 with no problems at all. Load up the wife and three kids and its never an issue.
-
I raised mine by going with El Camino springs in the rear. It brought it way up.
-
If its 1 1/8 is 100% 8.2 I just went through the same thing.
-
Put the new Moog CC501 springs in hoping they would lift the rear a little more so the tire would stop rubbing when we put the whole family in the car. It did not raise it any may have to put some air shocks in it...
I went with El-Camino springs in the rear and it lifted it enough for me to pack the family in and never rub at all.

Awesome. Can't wait to hear all about it.
You and I both.....Im going out of my mind waiting...lol

Wow to funny , My car will be getting it's upgrade this weekend. Im dropping it off Friday night.

I got the Auburn Posi unit with Richmond 3:73 Gears
-
Your thinking is pretty much same as mine. I dont plan on taking my car to the track. I just purchased 3:73 gears and a posi unit so I figured it couldnt hurt to upgrade the control arms. That being said the tubular have to be an upgrade to the stock 40 yr old ones.
I will keep you posted as to how everything goes. They should be installed over the weekend.

thanks Philip...I've never had the Monte on the scales but a guess would be about 350lbs difference. As for the Monte running 10's the major items are in place, it would take some tunning and suspension improvements. It's my wifes car and she's really not to keen on putting a rollbar in it so it's limited to 11.50 for now....
Thats amazing to think that a street car can get down to 10's with some tuning and suspension.
When You say 350lbs Dave , is the Chevelle heavier or lighter ? Thanks for the reply

I got tubular with mounting kit and bushings for $309 shipped to my door. I didnt get the braces , dont know how important they are or aren't though. I seen the boxed ones after I made my order and I might have gone with them instead had I seen them first. What are Your thoughts ( Cbolt ) on the tubular ones vs boxed ?

Mine came in the mail today. Im very impressed with the quality. They look great. I will be getting them installed over the weekend.

I ordered Non-adjustable.
-
Thanks Mike , I ordered the PMT set today.
-
I seen the PMT they looked equally nice. Does the stock sway bar bolt right up to the holes ?
-
Is anyone using the UMI upper and lower tube style control arms ? Just wondering what Your feedback is ? Im thinking about ordering the upper and lower non-adjustable set with hardware and bushings for $309
