  1. I've got duel 2.5 inch exhaust. Each side exits the side of the car just before the rear wheels. I have the 2.5 split into staggered 3" chrome tips. I'll get a pic up.

I've got an album on Facebook on my page "redrock kustoms" the album is called 1971 monte Carlo project. Feel free to add me.

    Cheers

  2. I have a friend who modified his stock inners because of the air ride system. Basically he tubbed his inners so if the air ride went down while on the road he could still maneuver the car. It might take a few times of backing up and turn a little more but at least he can move it.

Interesting.. I'd like to see that!

  3. Sorry yes I meant inner fenders. I'm going airride and need inner fenders this year. car might not get airride till next year. Just don't want to buy fenders to have to replace next year lol.

  4. Call Leo in the parts section,He has the metal ones (from canada)They fit "like a glove". If your interested in a pair of Plastic ones , send me a pm. I have a set that I did not use on my Monte Carlo and got with Leo on the metal ones.I believe these were from a parts place in Illinois.Like the Monte by the way,18 huh,I'd Die for a monte at 18,took me another 23yrs to get mine!

I need to order inner fenders for 71 monte and would like metal ones. Im in Canada. My understanding is that 71-72 Chevelle ones will fit. will 70 Chevelle ones fit? Leo is part section where? year one? thanks

  5. fronts 8" wide should take 4-4.75 inch back space to fit proper is my guess.

rears 8.5 inch wide should take 4.5-5 inch back space to work proper.

rears 10 inch wide should take 5.5-6.5 inch back space to work proper I would think.. an inch is a lot of play though, so i would like to know exactly what my max is before I order..

(I know some guys would pay big bucks for that extra inch lol)

  6. I will be trying to go with one of the following setups in Black;

    FRONT

    18x8 +0 (will fit)

    18x9 +24 +34 (should fit)

    REAR

    20x8.5 +18 +20 + 32 (+18 & 20 should fit,+32 might be to much)

    20x10 +18 +34 (I'm guessing +34)

I want to run 18x9 on the front if the offset will work and on the back 20x10 if they will tuck in.

Any experiance with staggared wheels in Montes?

  7. Both of those responses are are lot of help! Mine is a 71 and the plan was to pull the Dash cover off and wrap in brushed aluminum vinyl. I may just leave as is due to the fact the entire Dash is in fantastic shape. The steering wheel is not, a Grant 405 Challenger wood grain wheel might help match up to the dash. but I will need to figure out a center console to go around the Quarter Stick I plan to install. Recaro Buckets are retro fitted in as of today...

    I am in Edmonton.

  8. Sorry to side track..Is there a way to remove the Burlewood portion from the dash?

I plan on wrapping it in brushed aluminum vinyl I read that there are clips and screws, screws are out but how would you access the clips? thanks
