Hey
thanks for the responses guys.
A guy has some with this: Delco P/N P3045C but he is not sure what they came on. I am thinking these were add-ons and not part of a gm installed system.
Another number on them is 3186376.
Date code of 155-71.
The valve hose connections are positioned up and down and not to the sides.
Any thoughts?
This site has some interesting on the add-on pleasur-ride system.

Does anyone know the part # for the air ride air shocks that came on the Monte Carlo for 70-72?

Is your car black on black? I saw one back in 1990 in the SLC area back then.
My 70 SS was built in Van nuys with a build date of 09 17 CRN engine code. IT was built in 1969.
It has orange valve covers and black air cleaner on it. It is completely original and unmolested.

My original radio was stolen out of a storage facility back in 1987. My friend that now has the car parted out a monte with the same system. He told me he still has the radio. He said it only had one speaker as well. He is working mandatory overtime since december at his work and has very little time but I will see if he can find time to find it and look at it. My car also only had one speaker in the rear. That is the way I remember it because I thought it was odd.

My car had a/c. I can't remember what the speaker config. was in the front, but I seem to think it had two in the front and one in the rear.
Have you guys had personal experience with a car setup like this?
I would think the am/8track was a mono system?
-
Ok
I am certain that my 70 monte which still had the original am/8track had only one rear speaker. My buddy confirmed that he had also removed an am/8track from a parts car that also had only one rear speaker.
Is there anyone on this site that can comfirm this setup from a survivor car that still has the setup in it??
Thanks
Tim

JL2 is the power disc front brakes code.
I pretty sure it was part of the SS package. Just like the F41 suspension was part of the package.
Some other montes did come without PDB. I saw one without A/C and without PDB once. I thought it was strange to see a monte that way.

you have to take the motor mount bolts out and jack the engine up a bit. . . place a 2x4 between the engine and mount . . . make darn sure you have it stable before working on it.

Hey I haven't been on here in a while. I sold my 70 SS454 to a good friend Kyle W.
I plan on attending. My friend Kyle W has 4 sons that all have 70-72 Montes and they will all be attending.
I don't know if they are members. Edit: yes the are members!
He was the one that told me about the group was attending for the western meetup!
It's a beautiful area.
