  1. those are good.

I need them to plan how I'm going to get these to properly fit.

    19x12 Z06 wheels.

the plan for now is get them spaced as close to the rolled lip and then notch the frame and weld a plate in place to firm everything back up.

    I'm a sucker for punishment.......

WOW!!! WOW!! HOW ARE YOU GONNA GET THEM ON??

I just got 15X10 in the back and I regret it frown I swapped out the coils and shocks & I still cant go up steep driveways, which sucks cause gas stations usually have those (took me a while to find one I cant clear) I was low on gas the other day and had to go up one and I slashed my own tires cry2 luckily since they're new I only shaved a bit of the tread off. Still, I enjoy Betty less now cause I'm so worried about completely slashing the tires.

GOOD LUCK WITH THEM AND KEEP US POSTED!!

  2. I have Monroe air shocks in the rear of my 71 Monte @ 60psi and my car does not bounce. I then added Moog 5385 rear coil springs and a Hotchkis 1" rear sway bar and now it doesn't lean. Since I weigh 260lbs, I guess you might say my car carries a heavy load even though I'm almost always by myself.

Mine bounces like a raging bull. I'm gonna try to lower the psi. I always ride alone and weigh 150, so my uncle told me to put sand bags in the trunk.

  3. Hey yall, So I went ahead with the MOOG El Camino springs this weekend. I thought it was gonna be a hard job and mostly I was scared of the spring flying towards me or cutting my hands. I had one close call, but everything worked out and Betty no longer rubs smile. Unfortunately, one thing always leads to another with Betty and now she bounces and driving feels like riding a rodeo bull. I'm wondering if I lower the air shocks if that would help with the ride.

I haven't figured out how to embed pictures so here are some links to Betty with her Cragar D Window.

  4. Thanks Larry, I thought about that when I saw that it was cutting into the tread. BTW this is the before and after. in the first picture the car is sitting on the wheel. The second is after I installed the shocks. Betty has sagged on the right since I got her. So the right rubs with just about anything on the road.

  5. How high did it get?? I finally saved enough for new wheels Cragar D rings 15x8 front, 15x10 back grin they look awesome!! MY problem is they rub when I hit dips and driveways... It makes my soul hurt every time. So I took them off and am riding the stocks. I replaced the shocks (gabriel air shocks) and it raised it enough to fit, I just cant hit dips or bumps.. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP crycry
