  1. It’s getting to that point in the 1971 4-speed restoration that I need to start looking for some interior trim. Has anyone purchased door panels from Legendary? If so did you get assembled, or non-assembled? Where you happy with the product. Thanks for the opinions.
  2. Awesome Matt, now thats funny stuff!!!
  3. And a few more! Sue, April and Kathie. April, Kathie, Lynn, Kevin and Sandy. Kris and Kimberly. Matt. Sunday night BBQ.
  4. Just a few more pictures. It started on Friday with the arrival of April and Aaron from British Columbia, Matt from Portland and Kevin from Seattle. The meeting place……… a pub of course. LOL It would be the start of Bench racing 101. On Sat morning other members started arriving at our house for a nice visit, Pat and Jean from Millet, Kevin and Sandy, Kris and Kimberley from Edmonton, Roy and Sue, Darren from Airdrie. Keith and Rosa, Ian, Lynn and son Riley from Calgary. Vaughn, Kathie, Jordan and Liam from High River. We left at 1:00 for a nice cruise and then some supper then back to our house for some bench racing. Sunday morning came way too early, but we headed to the local show and shine at 7:30am. 1500 cars turned out for the show. After the show we headed back to our place for a BBQ and some prizes that Aaron had brought with him. More bench racing! Monday morning we gathered one more time for coffee at our house and said our sad goodbyes!! Our family would like to thank all the great FGMCC family for joining us. It was a great distance for many of you, we are blessed to know you all!! If anyone has some pictures from the car show please send them as I did not take a single picture, must have been in a fog or something. The new generation of First Gen owners, Riley, Jordan and Liam. Montes in our back yard. Jean. Hard to get all the Montes in one shot! Pat and Keith telling stories. Kevin and Darren.
  5. Doug as Larry mentioned, it is an official GM documentation package of the car. I just posted the one page. The first picture is a Canadian build sheet. LOL I will talk with Liam and see if he wants to take the mirror off and try to get a part # for everyone. Larry, does your Monte have both sport mirrors?
  6. There seems to be a lot of discussion lately regarding the dual sport mirror availability for our Montes. Most think that the passenger sport mirror was not available. My son Liam has a Canadian built 71 SS454 with documented dual sport mirrors. If you see on the GM of Canada documentation (attached), it notes remote driver sport mirror and non remote passenger sport mirror. The D35 on the build sheet indicates “sport mirrors”. We have a brochure from GM of Canada for 1971 SS Montes, and it notes that the drivers sport mirror was standard equipment, but not the passenger sport mirror. Many of you know more than I ever will about our beloved Montes, so I am just putting this out there for information. Was this a Canadian thing only??? Vaughn
  7. Looks awesome Kelly, I'm glad that you have her back on the road! Congrats!!!!!! Thats alot of hard work you've done. You should drive down to High River next weekend. A few of us getting together for the show on the 23rd.
  8. Great news Rob!!!!
  9. Larry, Yes the only difference in the rear bumper for the 71SS is that the bumper had oval holes in the bumper for the pad. The reason for the oval holes was for adjustment. The rubber bumper had an steel band formed into it to which the studs where attached. At least on mine and the repo that I got years ago from the parts place. I am out of town but if you still need pics after the weekend, just PM me as I have a brand new one still in the wrapper that could maybe help you out, sorry but I cant sell it. My 71ss has the holes for the bumper guards in the rear bumper but has little chrome plugs covering them up. You might be able to see them in my sig. Thanks for sharing the info from GM. Vaughn
