  1. Impresive work. I can't wait to see more.
  2. Great Job Kelly!! That setup will be awesome. Everything is so nice and clean.
  3. Looking real nice Terry.
  4. Interesting story Dan, thanks for sharing it.
  5. Thanks for sharing the pictures Jeff. This is one Monte that I would loooove to have but I'm glad to hear that Tim still has it in his collection.
  6. Nice work Bob.
  7. Great job. Looks like the original metal is in great shape. All of your upper trim is stainless and can be polished back to new.
  8. Kelly, Thanks for exposing yourself! Looks like you are making good progress but sounds like you are getting a little down on the project. Hang in there my friend, you will get it done. Putting it all back together and getting it running and driving proper are very time consuming. I know everybody says don't set a time limit on your projects, but I do!!!! I find that if I say I need "xyz" done in two weeks it motivates me a little more and I seem to find the extra hours to get it done. Then I set a timeline on my next step. I find breaking it down into smaller projects helps. Anyways its looking great and keep us posted!! Call if you need anything. See you in Penticton. Vaughn
  9. So true Terry.
  10. I think these are a 70 only item, like the rear bumper fillers. I made a set from a new tire tube, not fun but worked perfect!!. Nobody has noticed or said anything .
  11. Took some of them for a mid winter walk. LOL

    71 Monte SS

Welcome, with the Z20 on the cowl tag it must be Canadian built.

    HEI

I installed the Pertronix in my stock 454 setup with stock coil etc and have no issues. This was 5 years ago.
  14. Congrats!
  15. Nice collection Terry.
  16. Scott, I live at about 4k altitude and have a factory 454, a 502 and a 572. All with 342 or 373 gears. All run fine and are torque monsters. I, like you live in a area of all hiway driving to get anywhere and the gears make it tough. Have to rev to crap out of the motors just to get some decent hiway speeds. IMO you are on the right track with waiting to change gears until you have a gear vendor.
  17. Davey, Davey, Davey, it's colour eh!
  18. Larry, Congrats again on finding your uncles Monte. Cool facts for us Canucks, thanks for sharing. This is what we did find out about Liams so far. Just going from memory so I could be a little off. One of 147 built in Canada in 1971. One of 65 sold in Canada, the balance exported to the U.S. One of 6 Triple Black. With his late production date (late June/early July) we where wondering if it was the last Canadian built SS. In 1972 they moved production from Ontario to Texas. Gm of Canada won't help us with this request so we just keep searching. How did you find out that the last 4 where in Alberta and Ontario. Thanks, Vaughn

    In the 10s!

    Congrats Mike!!
  20. I'm looking for one as well Royce. Have you had any luck finding a good supplier yet?
  21. Congrats!!
  22. Thanks for sharing the vids Davey. Always enjoy watching them.
  23. I had a High flow thermostat in my 502 motor and car would never overheat. One day at about 500 miles on motor the thermostat crapped out. I put in a regular Thermostat (same temp) and the car ran 20 degrees hotter and even more on the hiway and going up hills. Bought a new high flow and problem solved. As the name says, it just adds a little more flow.
  24. Nice work!
  25. That sounds like a real good price.
