  1. I used the ones from The Parts Place also, they have held up nicely and fit well when I installed them
  2. http://www.firstgenmc.com/forums/index.php?/topic/12673-new-shoes-for-monte/?hl=shoes Can't find any pics with the original wheels on the gallery right now, here is a couple with the new ones in the link Here's one
  3. Honestly I put stock style small block springs in my car and it raised it quite a bit, almost too much. I think big block may be a bit much.
  4. Welcome Jameson! Can't help you too much on that question, but the link Rob provided contains a lot of useful info!
  5. I can tell you firsthand they did not work on my rear glass!
  6. I'd try any glass or body shops to start. I'm not local but that's usually a safe bet
  7. Well, as the salt truck went by for the fifth time, and dumped another ton or so of salt in front of my house, I wandered if the roads will be free from salt by the time the carlisle eastern meet is here? I don't think we can possibly get enough rain to was it all away! You should see our poor daily drivers, so covered in salt I refuse to even pull the MINI in the garage near the Monte, I can hear the salt and brine eating away at them!
  8. I get it sometimes too Sam, looks correct on my end but shows up upside down
  9. Sam, I went to take a pic but wasn't sure what you wanted, that hook is attached to the seat divider on my car.. Just sent 2 pics to your phone.
  10. Very nice! Always glad to hear about a safe trip where nothing breaks also!
  11. Looking really good Larry! The Snowball is coming along nicely
  12. I have a 72 camino one in my car. Don't know I it helps you at all
  13. Interesting post, I don't recall how I put my spring in, I know I used it, and put it on after the door panel, I may have to pop the crank off and see now, although it probably threaded itself in like Dan said by now!

    Love the color!
  15. My car was Baltimore, had a sheet in back seat and front seat as well. There was nothing above the gas tank
  16. Great looking SS! Still good deals to be had out there!
  17. No real info in the ad as far as cfm. I'd call and try to get some details at least
  18. And I hear all this started cause of some guy named Tony doing a burnout? Glad it's bCk together and quiet Terry, this has been quite a saga for you!
  19. I used a foam lined with plastic that we get new bumpers shipped in. Made a pattern from the paper and cut it out. It's a pretty thin material, has some sound deadening capability I'd imagine.
  20. From the first 2 pics I'd say less pressure outwards on the top felt lined guides on the door. Love the color by the way!
  21. Probably a good idea, maybe a spot up under the dash where you can't really see it? The heaters in my Mini Cooper are down low by the center console, I guess it's all just a matter of preference. I'd rather have a/c in my Monte seats as it doesn't get out much in the cold!
  22. White paint will reflect better than silver, I just used silver on my housings because that was already on it, I'd use white if I did it again however
  23. Spent $$$ at Summit! stay tuned Actually spent the gift card of my wife's hard earned $. She's so good to me and to Monte! She may have spent more on that car than me at this point
  24. Alli got me a very nice gift cert for Summit as I've been looking at wheels and tires for about a year now. Gone through the wheel and tire database here and given myself a heck of a headache. Basically the general feeling here seems to be a 17x8, with a 4.5" backspace, is safe and I'm looking at 245/45/17 Question is, 4" or 4.5" backspace, and should I or could I use a 255/50/17? That is only 1/4" wider than my 245/60/15 on there now on factory rally's. The backspace on the factory is 4" correct? I want to do no trimming and no rubbing!!!! As always, help from the Monte gurus is appreciated
