Also while you have it off check drive gear and speedometer gear make sure it matches your rear end gear for a correct speedometer reading

Here is a wiring diagram I had to zoom in on the hazard system (top left corner)but this will help you do some quick testing. First thing is pull the hazard flasher from fuse block. One side of the two exposed terminals should have 12 volts the key will probably have to be in run position. If you don’t have 12 volts problem is between fuse and that terminal . Second If you do have power to the one terminal then with a dvom do a continuity test from the other terminal the one without any power to the what appears to be the brown wire on the harness side of the plug (top right of wiring diagram)where you just plugged in your new turn signal switch . You should have continuity . Third back to the terminal at the flasher with 12 volt's. That terminal feeds your stop lamp switch ( bottom middle of diagram) so you should have 12 volts there also on the tan wire. I am sure that is the case since you haven’t mentioned any problems with tail lights. Fourth on the stop light switch the white wire you could do a continuity test to the same harness plug where you plugged in your turn signal switch you should have continuity there also. Again I believe you will find that to be ok also. The most likely thing is going to be between flasher and turn signal plug. If not it has to be between turn signal plug and rear end. If needed could send that diagram. Hope this helps good luck

70 Rear Bumper Question
GRAY 70 Monte Carlo replied to GRAY 70 Monte Carlo's topic in General 70-72 Monte Carlo Forum
I am probably wrong about this after my post went back and rechecked the cowl body tag . It looks like the cowl tag is actually 08C August of 1969 . So I went on a Chevelle site and by looking at the vin number 138570F110618 http://chevelleworld.macswebs.com/70/70prod_by_plant.htm This is a Flint built car .I believe this has a production date in September of 1969 . Is this correct anybody know thanks in advance -
70 Rear Bumper Question

I didn’t realize that till last night .i seen here on the forum under cowl label decode and it said I believe could be possibly 8 weeks or more beyond that date. The production date decal in the door jam has been gone for years so really don’t have an exact date -

I personally have not used it on a big block but have for a small block and had to use a regulator because the pump would hold 14 psi and I only needed 7 psi . 6AN is 3/8 hose hope this helps

70 Rear Bumper Question
GRAY 70 Monte Carlo replied to GRAY 70 Monte Carlo's topic in General 70-72 Monte Carlo Forum
Ok thank you Dennis . On 1Bad_Montes post I could see the part number on the center bumper bracket bracket rubber bumper part number 3895100 . I was able to find 3 of them got them ordered but in his picture looks like the spacer/ bumper is between the bracket and the bumper . Do you know if that is correct or is it between bracket and the body? Seems like it should be between bumper and bracket. -

Disassembled rear bumper seen on outter brackets that they have slots or grooves that appear they should have some type of rubber bumper in them. I did find two rubber bumpers in a box These are very similar to to ones at the back of the hood but probably a little thicker. Does anyone know if these are correct or not and if not any ideas what goes there if anything. I also seen that there is a identical slot/ groove on the center bumper bracket too. Does it take the same rubber bumper or a different bumper I believe it to be different. I look through all the threads I could find but couldn’t find any pictures or information. Thanks in advance for any information and help
