    Sorry it’s taken some time for me to reply I have been on the the road all day.To answer the question they were not painted just black I couldn’t find any that were not chrome and figured since trim panel already has chrome accents it would work but would be glad to find used and paint them if anyone has a set to sell If not will just order a/m chrome that Dtret posted

    I don’t understand why rod would need to be longer if only replacing the inner trim .all I need is the base next to trim panel mine is black but all I have found is chrome see attached picture .i would prefer black if I could get them

    I just finished mine I agree but believe you need to cut both number four and number 5 inserts and restrech also make some relief cuts around you qtr glass area and especially around tha bend on back glass .really tricky around coat hanger area.also needs restricted towards the back take you time and a lot of clips and you will get it Good Luck

    Could also use black armrest bases just don’t want to order a/m parts unless no other choices

    Does anyone going to Eastern Meet in Sommerset have either a ash tray assembly or correct springs for a 70 model for sale also need 2 chrome armrest bases

    Do you possibly had a float restriction in the tank? That would explain why it works out of the tank but not when it’s in the tank

    The best thing I can say is really take you time .Stretch it multiple times just keep going around it . Lots of clips and do put your screws in before you put the headliner back in it is much easier to find them after headliner is installed

    In my opinion this doesn’t appear to been repaired.I am a retired auto body technician with many years experience and looks factory to me
