Hey guys, I am in the process of putting my car together. I bought it in pieces. These were in a box with rear trim pieces but I can't figure out where they go. Any ideas? Four are flat and four are pointed. Thanks

The story is it was owned by guy who had big plans to restore the car and had been saving up the parts. Some new like bumpers, interior, vinyl top ect. He would go to swap meets and buy anything he could find for 1st gen Montes. I have doubles of some things like A/C, side glass and a few other things. The car was disassembled of everything but the motor and trans. And the paint was stripped. He passed away before getting any further. The family apparently didn't want the car for whatever reason after he passed and sold it to the guy a bought it from. His plans were to put it together and flip it. That didn't happen and he sold it to me.

Is it rare to have this? I found it going through receipts I got from the previous owner. It's in rough shade.

Thanks for all the info. Thanks Larry for the links. I guess there is no need to buy the ones from Summit, there are several used sets around here. Looks like I will have the 14s for sale too. Is anybody using 15x7 in front and 15x8 in the rear? How do you guys think that would look? Maybe that would eliminate the front clearance issue in case the spring are a little worn and give it a staggered look.

I have disc up front, do you have 15x8 up front too? You needed new coil spring? Is that because you had to raise it a little? I like the way the 15x8s look

That's a bummer, I don't want the 14s to look to small once everything is done and ready to go back together. I'm looking into these from Summit. Maybe a 15x8 in the rear if that would fit. summit

Hey guys, I noticed that other cars here seem to all have 15 inch rally wheels. My 71 has 14s. Did they come from the factory with both 14s and 15s or are my wheels off something else? Thanks

I have had very good luck with Bulldog adhesion promoter. I have heard of people painting over chrome bumpers with it.
