Here is what my factory light l have in mine Attached File  802EE82C-7B0B-4098-AF00-9F492FBBC0B9.jpeg   51.33KB   3 downloads it did come off another 70 Monte and added to mine. So it's the simpler of the two claimed to be for our cars.

Paul the ground wire is for the power trunk lock. The light is grounded via the screw holding the trunk like to the lid.

Thank you for the photos!  This definitely helps me determine what is the most common style of light the Monte Carlos are using. I am still looking around for an original one to add onto my 71.
