  1. Yes MarchieB, you are so right. I have a remote mirror ready for rechrome and QUAL KROM wants 175.00 for the rechrome. But, I will say, when you get those pieces back and they look like they do, it makes it all worth it. - Dave
  2. I am not sure if this is high, low or about right but there were 88$ a piece plus shipping both ways. I paid a total of 190.06. PH# 814-899-8546 - 4725-A Iroquois Avenue, Erie, PA 16511. They told me that they would be 10 weeks at least but had them back to me in 5 weeks. Very happy thus far. - Dave
  3. I just got a set of 72 front light bezels back from the rehromer and they look awesome. The company is called QUAL KROM and are located in Erie, PA. I guess time will tell how good a job it is but they look flawless. I have a spare remote mirror that I have dismantled. I think thats next on my list of rechroming jobs. - Dave ------------------
  4. I am going to bed :-(

  6. Hey busmechanic, you have a nice looking car there. The exterior of that car is exactly what mine was originally. Now it is pearl white with pink flake but dont know how to post my picture as you and others have done on your messages. I am on MSN site but havent a clue as to the dialog needed to transfer the images. Any help would be appreciated. - Dave
  7. That was alot of work for just installing window fuzzies. The fuzzies are in but everything is not all back together. Going to do some spring cleaning before it all goes back together. Thanks again. - Dave
  8. Thanks guys, going down to try right now. Never would have thought the seat would have to come out to remove panels. - Dave
  9. I am replacing my window fuzzies. The front is done and had no problems. The back windows are causing me some problems. I am having problems getting the rear panels out. My haynes manual is telling me to remove the rear seat but does not say how to do that. I have never removed the rear seat. What is involved with getting those rear panels off. Thanks for the help in advance. - Dave
  10. Well that didnt take long. I guess that means the real fun begins when it is time to put back together. Once the mirror was removed, I saw what you were describing. I am kind of pumped right now because I see that this can be done and I cant wait to get it completed. - Dave
  11. Thanks again George, I am off to have some fun with an old mirror. - Dave
  12. Thanks George, I was trying different ways to dissassemble and started getting the feeling that it was really not meant to every be torn apart and put back together. So it is ok to go ahead and break the glass? - Dave
  13. I have a good core remote mirror that I would like to re-chrome. I am having trouble dissassembling. Has anyone taken one of these apart without destroying? Thanks for the help in advance. - Dave
