  1. LOL, i know exactly where that fuse is on mine it sits right to the left of the carb along the firewall. what would i have to do with it to increase the speed ?

Yes, the air blows cold and the heat blows hot, the flow is always controlled (sometimes it will stop blowing but only if the fan was at the highest speed) fan turns back on when i push the speed down one notch. it is just when the fan speed is pushed down to full blast it feels as if it is on low. Also, just looked up what a rheostat is and it seems that this controls the fan speed, is that correct ? if so where is it located ?

Wassup guys, Griff here with a new rookie question, My Monte makes a squeaking/squawking noise when i turn on the A/C unit and it seems to be barely blowing any air at all even with the unit on full blast. the system is charged if i could get it to puh more air into the cabn it would have perfect A/c. Any thoughts on how i can get this fixed ? its going to be a hot summer down here in GA.
  4. Ok so it did start and im actually on my trip now just checked in. And as usual its never what it seems, the ignition module failed and that why it wouldnt start got one put on and she fired right up
  5. Thanks for the info timothy, i just changed the fuel pump the morning before this happened it was my first time doing so but i heard the squawking from the pump as i put it on which i was told means it was put on correct
  6. ok, so it looks like she should run tomorrow when i change the oil im praying, and rock the rotor is moving so thank god its not the chain.
  7. Yea, Guys i know this is a rookie question but i need a better understanding. Could gas in the oil really stop the engine from starting ?

  9. well i have turned it over multiple times, so i guess i will change the oil tomorrow and hope it fires. should i get a new carb ? i jus pulled the eddy 1406 off to look at it. the day before it was parked my fuel pressure gauge was reading 9 psi with no regulator. which is y i thought it was flooded

  11. like the title says she wont start. I put in a new fuel pump Tuesday with no fuel pressure regulator on it. it ran fine i parked it and tried to start it yesterday and she wouldn't start. the engine turns over just fine but it wont fire. i pulled the plugs and some had gas on them and some did not i replaced the plugs today after letting it sit all day without any plugs n it and it still wont start. really need some help i have a trip to go on tomorrow and i wanted to drive it

  14. I had the shop guys do a leak-down and all is good with my valves and they confirmed the bad cam, so i ended up going with the edelbrock performer plus hydraulic flat tappet cam, hopefully the shop can have it in and running by hump day next week.
  15. Thanks for the info guys, i should here back from the shop tomorrow. if all i need i a cam then ill be ordering my parts for the rear by the weekend

Now that my Monte is soon to be back on the road, and sense i lack a truck and trailer im gonna be driving her to all the shows around the area which for me is a hour ride or more either way i go. Anyway, I want to get posi on her so i can have some fun. What all do i need to achieve this ? Also are there any recommended gears for performance and keeping it drivable on the I-95 Specs: 350 mild cam and a 3 speed auto trans. stock wheels and rear end right now.
  17. UPDATE: So id thought id give a quick update, the monte "Diane" will be hitting the shop on monday. If everything goes as planned i should have a vid of her rebirth next weekend

  20. LOL sam i wish i think the budget it $1500. UPDATE: Ok guys so i just pulled the rod on that #2 and its straight as an arrow, also adjusted the lash since it was spinning pretty easy before i took the rocker off. i recorded it turning over and the valve still wasnt moving as much as the others. How would i determine if its a sticking valve or the cam is really going bad ? P.s. Best wife in the world told me shes getting it fixed for me for valentines day.
