I have a 72 custom with a 400 sb - turbo 400 tranny that does not drop into passing gear - have not gone under yet to figure out why but noticed today a wire coming out of the firewall down above my gas pedal attached to black plastic piece broken off another piece attatched to top of gas pedal bracket - had to leave for work so did not investigate further yet - but it is on my mind at work so I thought I might ask if this is why my tranny does not down shift into the passing gear??
