  1. I am at the point in my project where I am looking at the brakes.  I am going with a rear disc conversion kit but don't want to spend the money on a Wilwood system.  Especially since I plan on staying with stock 15" rims, and I want the E-brake.  So I am looking at single brake caliper setup from The Right Stuff.  I am wondering if I should just rebuild my original front brake calipers or go with the Wilwood D52 dual piston calipers for the front.  Do they really make a difference?  I am on the fence because for the price of the Wilwood calipers I can then get drilled and slotted rotors.  Any thoughts you guys have on the calipers and even drilled & slotted vs solid rotors would be appreciated.

  2. I am boxing my rear lower control arms and removed the old bushings but didn’t take a pic. What orientation do the rubber bushings go back in. I seem to recall reading that the bushings on both arms face the drivers side. Meaning the bushing is installed so that they are pressed in towards the drivers side. Bushing flange sits on the passenger side. Can anyone confirm if I am correct?

    Wallaby, thanks for the info about the Eastwood spray paint.  And I was thinking 6-8 cans also which is making me reconsider and find a new brand.  Having a hard time justifying the cost per can from Eastwood when I would end up needed 16 at least.  

    I plan on using a wire brush on my grinder to clean the frame.  Any thoughts on a primer/sealer for a frame cleaned well with a grinder and wire brush (not blasted and perfectly cleaned) and then a topcoat?  I am looking at Rustoleum, Krylon.  I am trying to make it look original as possible but this will end up being a near daily driver.
